This watercolor is done on Arches 140 lb. paper. The painting is of my Grandmother’s biscuit jar with some roses around the base. A lace cloth completes the composition.

Here she is on her base. A piece of solid oak milled to the same shape as the bronze base and molten lead free pewter poured in then the figure pressed into that. A torch helped darken the rest of the wood and discolor the edges of the pewter. The sculpture was made from a live model here in my studio.
