This is my friend, Pete’s place. It is located somewhere out of Seymour, Victoria and is some very gorgeous rocky country. The day we were there we some of the most spectacularly changable weather and this was taken late in the afternoon when the atmosphere had this warm glow. Wow, I’m really scraping the bottom of the barrel pulling this thing out of mothballs! This little bitty was painted quite some time ago (I’m not sure exactly how long but I think Bill Clinton was still in office) It is the result of a lot of extra oil paint laying around, no brushes, no life, and a splitting headache. It’s also quite good at giving people headaches…go figure.

Well, she’s not a kitten anymore. Cleo, one of Pete’s two beloved cats, was diagnosed with cancer on 21st January. She’s been in the vet since. / Pete tried to pick her up the other day & was told that he couldn’t do the payment plan after all, & they wont give him Cleo until he pays the entire amount upfront. / So he’s dramatically short the amount of money they want & they are basically holding Cleo hostage. / Its the longest Moppy & Cleo have ever been apart in 15 years and Moppy isnt taking it well. So I have suggested a fund raiser to help Pete get Cleo back! Me and other creative friends of Pete will be donating prints of work. ALL proceeds above the cost of printing will go to the vet bill. / Our Target is $1,500.00 This work is up for private sale as prints to donate to this cause. / The image is hite pencil on black paper and was drawn tonight. / Email me at hate_fueled@hotmail.com to make an offer on a signed print of the work.

You’ll notice I’ve gone all digital these last few shots, well, this is because developing 120 here in London, is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive now, and unless Sarge pays me more, I can’t afford it, and will have to bring all my rolls of film back and have them done next time I’m in Melbourne. So, I did the unthinkable and messed with some PS filters for this. TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE FILM. Sorry.

The design for this tshirt comes from an original painting titled ‘Polly’s Pearls’. The painting was created using mixed media, ink, pastels, charcoal, acrylics on thick aquarelle acrylic watercolour paper. Polly’s Pearls is a little story in itself. Polly is Pirate Girl who sails the seven seas in search of the most lustrous pearl of all time, legend has it the golden pearl is somewhere out there for the taking. Perhaps the moon’s reflection is a clue. Along the way, Polly and her trusty parrot Pete collect stars and pearls to trade

On Saturday mornings, local artists gather downtown at Williams Park to sell their wares. They are shut down for the summer at the moment but will pick up again in November. I hope by that time to have a table there, myself. /
