When I got my Canon PowerShot A640 in the early Summer of 2007 I started taking various shots in the backyard. This image of a purple Iris was one of the first macro shots I had ever taken, and definitely one of my most popular images here on RedBubble. Is it flying through space or peering through a macro lens? I can’t really explain what I feel about this one. It kind of creeps me out. But I really really love it, feel a part of it. A beautiful yellow Lilium hiding in the back of the garden peeking out from the shadows of darkness. Shot with a Canon 400D 18-55 with two stage extension tube.

Going through some old images and found this shot showing pollen dripping down from the centre of the flower. Really liked the colour offsets in this. Was used in an exhibition I shared with Smarti77 sometime ago. Shot with a Canon 400D – 18-55 lens.
