Who can resist these eyes? This image is a reproduction of my original color pencil painting on drafting paper of ’”Blink” a beautiful cat owned by a fellow artist. “Blink” was placed Second in the Painting – Drawing Any Subject category at the 2008 Canning Show (First Place was awarded to my colour pencil painting “We Three Kings II – Lion” and Third to “Noble” my German Shepherd Dog in charcoal (yes I was very pleased with this Hat Trick!).

This is our new pup Phoebe Roo ( she’s like a kangaroo) she’s an Italian greyhound, only 13 weeks now. I have a pic of my other dog Millie on here so to be fair I took one of phoebe too.She has this one ear that is always sticking up. She is so fast now we cant even catch her, she sure is stirring up the house, we just love her to pieces !!

Princess was holding on for dear life just trying to get into the house. I am a cat lover and this is my own version of a “quilt”, consisting 300 cats, each with their own expressions and styles. At the very beginning, my idea was to create a tessellating pattern of the head of a cat (similar to what M.C. Escher did in some of his works). I then thought, instead of making the cats look all the same and monotonous, why not making them fun to look at?
