Our dog is mad for bubbles! When most people think of bubbles they think of children but for us it’s dogs as well! I am also partial to the odd bubble, they are very calming to watch and the colours are amazing. We have been playing with bubbles for a few days now, the first day was windy so all the neighbours got bubbles in their yards too, it was really lovely as people came out of their houses to watch and you could hear their exclamations as they watched

19×24 watercolor enhanced colored pencil. Original available. This piece was started and finished without the ghost image. Then I decided that it would be a good idea to add a little something to help bring out the rest of it.. besides, I already had a Bull Terrier in the original collages and wanted to do a new series.. and this just fit the bill. A friend of mine, in Mozambique, has a “Wirehair Terrier”, we were next door neighbours when I lived in Mozambique. “Spikkels” would always be there, whenever I went for a adventure stroll, with my camera of course! This amazing “ritual” happened everyday! This crow would come and actually play with him! He would dive down and chase Spikkels and then Spikkels would turn around and chase the crow again! They did not know each other, grew up together or nothing between them that could cause this! I have numerous captures of them playing on these outings, just wanted to share this!

The Fulford Village Fair (York) is held on August Bank Holiday Monday every year with stalls, games, childrens’ & parents’ races, tug of war, mini steam engine rides, sometimes a tank and always a fire engine. / In the Exhibition Hall you will find giant carrots, perfect onions, red roses, paintings, cakes, bread, embroidery, handicrafts and photographs. This year I entered for the first time, submitting two images. / Icy Diamonds took second prize in the General Black & White category. / Icy Diamonds My Girlies took first prize in the Colour Portrait category. / Not only that, they won the Gate Fulford Cup for Best in Show! / WOW!!!!!!!!!!! This little Boston Terrier had been stolen from his home. He went missing for five weeks. I was lucky to spot him walking on a street and rescue him. He had no collar, so I took him to our vet to be scanned for microchip. Rest is history, and the reunion with his owners was joyful.
