This was photo was taken at Cottesloe Western Australia shortly at sunrise ..
This is the second stop I made the otherday with sunrise shots in Perth . / I was really glad i fitted all three stops in . / It is also my favourite , the sunrise had a really intense red look to it at this stage and the reflection of the water was amazing . The water was so still . The photo is of the Perth Rowing club on the Swan River , I think it was about 550am . The shot was taken from the Perth Ferry Jetty in front of Lucky Shag bar . / Its was 5 shot stitched together in Photoshop . I used a cokin ND filter plus uv filter for this one . sorry for spelling mistakes in a rush have to go to work again shortly :(
Someone thought this would look bettter in B/W.

Taken at Lake Monger Perth Western Australia. A favorite place to view these majestic birds. This one was in the shadow of a large tree on the bank but just loved the way the light caught and highlighted the red colour of the face….
On the bank of Lake Monger, early morning light. This tree seem to be the focal point for the water birds… a meeting place. Maybe they know there is something special about this old friend…. /
Another version this time with slightly more depth-of-field achieved by using f5.6 instead of 2.8 as for previous two Mottlecah images. Please view LARGER

Como Jetty in Perth Western Australia. EOS 500D.
The ramp at Mettams Pool at a stormy sunset. EOS 500D.
The jetty at Deep Water Point almost under water with Perth City as a backdrop. Photo taken in ‘Warm’ setting, also taken in b&w but I liked how the jetty came up in this one. Straight from camera. / Taken at Deep Water Point, Perth, Western Australia / Camera – Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30
While out looking for the North Beach Jetty, I stopped at the wrong beach, But found probably the best photo opportunity I have ever found at a Perth beach! The tide was really low last night, Which exposed the reef and provided me with probably the best beach shoot I’ve ever done at a Perth beach!
This visit to the Crawley Edge Boatshed was a total opposite to my last visit a few days earlier, When the waterline was above the jetty leading to the boatshed due to a storm surge which resulted in a unusually high tide, Which is the opposite to the unusually low tides we have had over the last few days. I decided to walk into the river to get a unusual perspective of the boatshed since I thought the water wasn’t to deep, But in the end, I found myself knee deep in the water shooting the boatshed, And once again, Going home soaking wet. LOL The boatshed was built in the 1930’s and you can also see the original pylon from the original pier that was replaced with the current pier when the boatshed was restored by it’s current owner in the early 2000’s after being in a dilapidated and run down state for many years. A bit of a late night experiment, let me know what you think. This was taken on A recent visit to Burns Beach, which is A beach located in the far Northern part of the Perth metropolitan area. It was a stormy and windy winters afternoon, but the sun did manage to get though the clouds for a few minutes, giving me enough time to capture the rays of light breaking though the clouds. Canon EOS 500D.
