It’s impossible to remember how the world looked when you were small, this is the idea behind this shot.
While my scanner is on the blink I’ve been going through some of my photos taken while in Shanghai, China in 2006 and found a few with potential. I don’t think I’ll upload too many as photography isn’t one of my strong points, but it is fun to see what you can do with an image in photoshop.
This is St Mary Redcliffe Church in Bristol. / Its been photogrpahed so many times before so I wanted a different view of it. / I hope you like it!

I’ve been attempting to take a photograph like this for some time now and FINALLY got it! Everything about this photograph was planned out and placed accordingly, even the glass – to show that the streaking was a real capture and not some product of any photo editing. I thought that it would take several attempts to accomplish this effect, but the subject followed my instructions very well and I got it on the first try! I am going to try and do some experimentation in photo – shop. This is my first attempt and I’m dedicating it to Georges Braque who was born on May 13 in 1882. He grew up near Paris, and in 1902 he settled there to study painting. He really liked pictures by the fauves who painted with bright colors and unstructured forms. He painted in those styles until 1908. In 1908 Braque began to paint in the Cubist Style. Between 1908 and 1913 he began to study light and perspective. He used his studies to use shading of a cube to make it look both flat and three-dimensional at the same time. I have used different painting and then processed them in photo -shop. This is number 1 in the series. Music
I was walking around the neighborhood last fall, looking for something to image when i came across this scene. The chair that was placed near some trash bins by a long abandoned government building. The light was just right and the texture of the scene really grabbed me. / “Alone” was featured in the group Rusty, Crusty and Falli… / “Alone” was featured in the group Live, Love, Dream / “Alone” was featured in Still Life Photography

Music / Blind Faith- Cant Find My Way Home / Come down off your throne And leave your body alone Somebody must change You are the reason I’ve been waiting so long Somebody holds the key Well, I’m near the end and I just ain’t got the time Well, I’m wasted and I can’t find my way home Come down on your own And leave your money at home Somebody must change You are the reason I’ve been waiting all these years Somebody holds the key I’m near the end, and I just ain’t got the time Oh, and I’m wasted, and I can’t find my way home But I can’t find my way home But I can’t find my way home But I can’t find my way home But I can’t find my way home Still, I can’t find my way home And, I ain’t done nothing wrong But, I can’t find my way home
Another very early morning trip today, however this time I managed to stay dry! This was taken just after 5am. I went to Portencross to look for some cool seaweed covered rocks I saw last time, however the tide was too high and I couldn’t find them. I got a few shots, as yet unprocessed, before turning my attention to the peir. I remembered it had these great big holes in it, and thought I might get an interesting result if I went for a long exposure shot which kept detail and colour all the way through it, especially important was getting colour and detail in the water through the holes. Canon Eos 5D, 17-40L at 17mm, 15 seconds at f22, ISO 50. 1.2 ND and 0.9 ND hard grad.
