For me summer holiday memories are all about bare feet, the sea, the smell of aerogard and barbeques, and long days and warm nights often spent in a caravan park by the ocean. This piece is about all of that, but I also wanted to infuse it with a bit of darkness and mystery …Holiday villages are so full of life and colourful characters by day, but at night when all have gone to bed and secured their temporary little homes, they can be quite strange and creepy…

We all spend a part of each day, just waiting for something…a phone call…a bus to come…the traffic to move…the kettle to boil…a holiday…a pay rise…love…happiness…success…a file to upload. / Perhaps you’ve been waiting your whole life for something to happen? / Or maybe it’s just about to…any minute now.
My daughter at the lake looking for something special in the water. Could not resist taking this shot! /
/ / It would be such a pity to leave without a comment. Like it? Say so. Don’t like it? Say so too! With a bang, if that fits your style. I’d rather leave a negative impression (on someone) than nothing at all. DullNBoring is NOT my middle name. Neither my last (I knew you’d probably say that!) As for the first name, it’s on the front page. So, please go ahead, leave a note and make my day! Thank you from the heart my friend. / / / / . / Please view also my other work.. / / Thank you for visiting.
Another stone. Another wall… / Another pill. They said I’d be ok. / They said I’d see again..hear again..feel again. / I wanted to believe.. / Another day. Loneliness. Erase the year.. / Again..I’m here. They told me to be a wall. / Told me to be lonely. I didn’t believe them. / So instead, I loved. Now.. / I am free..

The Carolina wren is among my favorite birds. I love the way it holds its tail straight up in the air and the way it sings so loudly. You’d never expect such a tiny bird to be able to belt out the songs it does! I also like its scowl; it always appears to be grumpy about something. A little bird that’s big on personality, that’s for sure. Another thing I like about wrens is the way they build tiny igloo type nests inside potted plants like ferns and such. I’ve often watered ferns and was almost hit in the face by a fleeing wren. When something goes awry, like a snake showing up where it doesn’t belong, they sound a warning. If ever you hear a wren chirping loudly and complaining incessantly, you’d better check things out; it’s probably trying to point out some danger. This little wren was sitting on the wall of my patio looking for something to nibble on. He gave me all of two seconds to snap his photo and then he was off like a jet.
