Emotive piece of art drawn in Graphite Pencil…L K Southward- Iconic Art UK Nominated for ‘Pay it Forward’ by Andy Mueller IPA “I have so many favorite works of art on the bubble that it is tough to narrow it down to just one. But every time I see this one, I know it is the one piece that triggers the most emotion out of me. So, I’d love to submit my Pay It Forward to a wonderful British Artist L K Southward and her graphite pencil drawing called “This is your son”. Every time I see this drawing, I have tears welling up in my eyes. It is such a strong piece of work, and she clearly is a very talented artist.” Featured in the group THE EEG on 9th May 2009 Original drawing sold on 29th April 2009

I’m not sure there is an explanation for this .. I don’t know who she is, where she comes from, what she wants, or why she pretends to be yellow She’s just there, like people who sometimes show up on a doorstep, without invitation or purpose, but often with a duffel-bag and an unconvincing story. Her eyeshadow speaks of unseemly events occurring in the night, probably in alleyways. Maybe she has hepatitis. Maybe that’s why she’s yellow. Or, maybe it’s her asian ancestry shining through. Who are you to judge? Have you met her? I don’t think so! ................................................................................................ There is a play of words going on here. For those who have not heard of it, I suggest you read this about Fugue State then, relate it to anything and everything I’ve ever told you about my memory and what it says above, about her. ................................................................................................................ / “Fuguing Beautiful” was featured in Freedom In Words 2 months ago “Fuguing Beautiful” was featured in ABSTRACT DIGITAL ART AND WRITING…2 months ago “Fuguing Beautiful” was featured in Outsiders 2 months ago (all the above, as of June 12, 2009) Fuguing Beautiful” was featured in THE SISTERHOOD about 7 hours ago (as of June 13, 2009)
