Here and now in one’s own personal realm: “It will blast away the background and survive as something summery, with yellow and blue, sinking into a wall, outstanding in comparison, and captivating one lone passer-by who looks into it and sees everything he never expected.”

...a quote found years ago and given to my husband.

given to whimsy or fanciful notions; capricious. I totally wanted to stretch the box here… the box I am always in when it comes to photography. Once again, this photo isn’t perfect… but I am glad I did something different and spent more time thinking about how I wanted it to look. I would like to try to do something more like this more often. It is fun! Yeah- it is fairytaleish… unrealistic… but that was what I was going for!
Part of the series inspired by Mahatma Ghandi’s quote, Be the change you want to see in the world / its my dream too as you can see in the pictures.. :) / I have a dream where i will help make a difference in our world. This is just the start but i have a charity that i plan to start with the proceeds of my art sales that will help kids in distress. You painted all the trees, you didn’t know that they would die, / you varnished all the leaves, you didn’t know they couldn’t breathe This is a drawing i did inspired by a song and a friend (the best combination for an artwork in my belief)... The song in mind is Treeology by Shady Bard. The lyrics of the beginning are at the top and the rest on the artwork. Now for my friend… As you might have gathered I am a hippie at heart, an AMIABLE personality type and so is she. (Read the description provided for more information). One day whilst drawing and painting together she decided our personailties were like trees.. we provide love, shelter, care,a safe haven for friends, secrets, sorrows and love and give shade to the needy and a place to rest for the wary. we provide, life, homes, peace, love, fun, knowledge, spirit, history, pleasure, beauty to the world and the world would be boring and lifeless without us. yet sometimes, people sit in our branches, breaking them whilst gorging our fruit, picking our flowers and carving our bark. Yet silent as we are, we allow it to happen and remain quiet about the pain and sorrow we feel, only other trees understand and feel our pain (we tend to show emotions yet give no reason or meaning behind it)... I though this very appropriate and so decided to draw it… and it links in with the song… Done in ink Featured In Finks Of Ink / Music Inspired Art
