ahem This is partial proof that, yes, indeed, I have painted and drawn things on real canvas, real paper, etc. Unfortunately, I do not know where the original painting is (it is around but probably out in the garage) and the scan does not show where I signed it, so I do not remember the date I finished painting this. It was a few years ago, though. This is acrylic on canvas and 16” x 20”, as are most of my “real” paintings. I titled this ‘Shipwreck’ as that is what it reminded me of. There was no plan of what to paint, only when to stop painting.

I haven’t held the camera much for a couple of months now and on reading John Robb’s journal The 100 Step Program I decided to pick up my still new DSLR (Nikon D90) and practice using my little lens (Nikkor AF 50mm f/1.8D). A self portrait while watching my son build a ‘Troll Kingdom’ under the White Pine trees….This spot is SOOO unbelievably peaceful. It smells like Christmas…is so quiet until the Pileated woodpeckers come out squawking…and on this day, the temperatures were JUST right. / This is located in Forest Of Friendship. A national park located in NE Kansas that is dedicated to people who fly…mainly? Amelia Earhart. This town is where she was born and raised. / Although I’m not much for air planes and flying…this park is one of my favorite places to go to. We sat here, on this day, for over an hour just in this spot. In another location we hiked around and photographed for more then 2 hours. / One of my ‘Healing Places’....
