There are some things you feel you can’t do without on a night like this, like going to a place where the light comes at its best and see it for yourself. For me, at that moment, the place was by the river. Mud dragged my feet down with determination and the footprint holes were filled with underground resident water, dissolving them quickly, as the river was trying to do away with any trace of intrusion in its domain, especially on a night like this one. What an incredible view that was. Once presented with a sight, with its superb colors, vibrant reflections, textures of many, sounds of water and wind meeting obstacles on their way, the cumulative effect to your senses is on such a scale, that will certainly reignite your zest for life no matter what size of desert your soul may have. A divine experience of this kind every night and, I think, I could outlast my fate.

As Is. Having People in a photo is not always desirable; but I think in this case it makes the picture better. Paestum, Italy September 25, 2008 taken with an Olympus FE-220 I used this photo as my bacground for this piece: Taken on the same day as these shots:
I sure do love photography & I especially love riding around & looking for great objects for my lens to focus on so that I may share with others. It is a spirit that burns deep inside me & frankly, it’s an obsession! Just ask my family & close friends! Well, anyway this was a photo which I took of myself because I had the opportunity as my son was driving so my hands were free & ENJOY! Smiles Leilani
Underpass at I-95. Jacksonville, Florida, 2009. © 2009 J.J.Taylor, All Rights Reserved. While documenting a local March of Dimes walk in Jacksonville, Florida, I found this composition under I-95. It was interesting enough, but really needed a human element. Then, almost as if on cue, this shadowy figure of a guy comes walking down the street.

A Man and His Big Umbrella. St. Augustine Beach, Florida 2009. © 2009 J.J. Taylor, All Rights Reserved. It was pretty comical watching this guy as he tried setting up his umbrella with the wind blowing straight at him.
