Today was a beautiful day, the sun came out at last, the rain stopped, that was enough for me, grabbed my camera and headed straight for Langstone Habour. The tide was out the sun was shining and it wasn’t too cold. There were 2 swans in the little pool of water by the redundant windmill. All I have done to this image is a simple sharp and change to b&w and that is it. /

Just wanted to say thanks to all my friends for your support and comments, I know I haven’t gotten around to looking at all your images these last few weeks. I tend to hit a friend and look through their recent images, and I haven’t got to you all it’s not just to return a comment but because I love looking at your work and beautiful images. The weather has been so hot and humid at the moment so any spare time has been spent out taking photos, coming home and downloading them to sort through later..much later LOL. My bedroom decorating has been on hold because of hot weather and waiting for my brother to do his bit…....which as usual is not happening, therefore as soon as weather cools a bit I shall go ahead and finish my room without the lights being done. Katie has just had her Junior Prom and is now on 6 weeks summer hols and I’m trying to find ways of keeping her entertained. We are going to a special pond dipping on Tuesday with the local council and the following week we have a special day at the local muesum. / My cat with the one eye has again been back and forth to the vets….....she broke a tooth and it became infected…..more mega money, we have also noticed that the pupil of her other eye is always fully dialated and the vet confirmed yesterday that it is damaged and she is blind. Don’t worry she is well cared for by us and it doesn’t appear to bother her. Finally Mum seemed to be doing well again…...and then I had a phone call about half hour ago, she was in tears and said she is fed up and really down so after this we are going around to see what we can do to cheer her up and lift her mood. I know a little of how she feels as about 4 years ago I was suddenly crippled with arthritis and I was virtually housebound for about 6-8weeks and then the pills the doctor gave me kicked in and I started to feel better. I find if i do too much it flares up again. I took a week off work a couple of years ago to decorate my hallway downstairs, then after that i had to have a week off work as my athritis flared up and I couldn’t move one arm from the side of my body for 4 days….......and who do you think looked after me both times…..... my beloved Mum OK I shall go round mum’s now , see what I can do, thank’s for letting me waffle on…... love you all / Sharon

As I left home this morning to go and wish my Mum a Happy Mothers Day i glanced around my garden and these beautiful crocuses caught my eye as the sun lit up the petals and their happy faces opened and soaked up the brief warm sunshine….....

What can I say…...... I love this. / Photo by me and the poem by the talented Helen Sewell .She sent me her poem and i had to agree it would go well with this image .Hope you all enjoy it! Our love is like the beauty of morning dew on a budding rose / Beauty like a serene pair of swans, graceful and elegant in its pose / Swans crystallised forever, together in love, protected far from harm / Like a serenade under the moonlight in your loving arms / A love to share a lifetime; to remember an eternity / As I write this poem for you my love, with all sincerity / Remember this, even on your dullest of days / That I love you, always
