  • Ink on paper / Tattoo design

  • Medium: ball point pens and markers on acetate The diptych presents several relationships: the position of the diamond flower corresponds to that of the diamond snowflakes. Both images have organic shapes taken from nature, one from spring, the other from winter. The flower has a rough texture and is over a smooth background, while the snowflake has a smooth texture while being over a rough background. Flowers and snowflakes both pertain to seasons; both temporary, and occurring in one phase after another. A snowflake or a flower is barely seen at once outdoors, but here they are made of diamonds, hence they are permanent, and existing at the same time: two parallel moments. / / This work has been featured in: / EMI – The Group See my other dyptich:

  • Another Sharpie/Drawing Tablet special. I’ve been watching the baby a lot more, because she hasn’t been sleeping as much, so I get her most mornings from a rather pale woman with dark circles under her eyes, aka; my daughter, Morgan. This means I am not online nearly as much, or able to be on the computer. So, I’ve been in the living room with my sharpies more. Most of the time, I am holding said baby and not able to draw, but, she does give me breaks while she does such as swing, or is held by my mom or dad, instead. Sometime during all this, I generally start a picture; sometimes, I even finish one. Yesterday (11-20-2008) was an all day event and I finished several, some that I started yesterday, and a few that I started months ago. This is one of them. I have not cleaned it up, even a tchh, yet – not even to remove the bad effects of being scanned. So, later on, I may do more with this – clean it up, color it in, paint over bits, etc.; but, those will be separate pieces.

  • Somewhere along the way, the description I had originally wrote for this disappeared. I hope I didn’t put it as the description for some other image, instead! Oh my! Anyway, at first glance, this may appear to be just another copy of Moony Eyed Over Moon Flower, or, perhaps, a closer, more detailed look at it. Well, glance again! This was made from the same original drawing, yes, but it is not the same! There are some very significant differences. Such as? Well, let’s see, I changed the height to width ratio, moved the woman over, cropped the entire image, and then reworked some of the black lines versus white space; as well as removing the signature as it stood on the original drawing, and re-signing it as it’s own piece. Oh, is that all? lol

  • Will fill in later But, I will say this for now: this is one of my personal favorites, because, it’s bloody lunatic! PS: paper and ink!

  • Had a beautiful walk today and ended up at an age old farmhouse, perched on top of a drystone wall was this rams skull, along with two others … with nobody there to ask, I can only assume, they were there to be remembered …...... • Courtesy Wikimedia here Jargon is terminology which has been especially defined in relationship to a specific activity, profession, or group. In other words, the term covers the language used by people who work in a particular area or who have a common interest. Much like slang it develops as a kind of short-hand, to quickly express ideas that are frequently discussed between members of a group. In many cases a standard term may be given a more precise or unique usage among practitioners of a field. In many cases this may cause a barrier to communication with those not familiar with the language of the field. As an example, the words RAM, Hard Disk Drive, CPU, and Graphics Card are jargon as they are related to computers.
