Our kitten OJ, gazing into a make-up mirror, watched over by curious cockatoo. Bird was photographed in pet store and added with Photoshop. I had to wait till OJ got totally tired before he’d sit still… in the end I had to snap my fingers to get him to open his eyes.

This dreamy vision of fragrant Frangipani brings back to me the heavenly colors and scents of this alluring tropical flower which I was blessed to enjoy today in my friend’s garden. I would like to dedicate this image to everyone here at RedBubble and to send you all a virtual bouquet of plumeria. This has to be the best photo site available to anyone. Photograph as is no editing at all . / / I waited until almost midnight to photgraph this, they only flower at night opening fully around midnight, by morning they are just a limp reminder of their beauty, I forgot to move the pot plant [large so it is rather heavy ,to a light source during the day] so I had to stumble about in the dark, I did have a torch a distance away as we have many spiders to get tangled in to the webs. I had to keep it away incase it interfeered with the photo. Now I have no idea about technical talk but readin the info on properties light source flash and auto ;lens ap.3.00 metering mode patterned;lens focus auto; exp auto. Camera Panasonic Lumix DMC F27

The first form of perfume was incense. Incense was first discovered by the Mesopotamians about 4,000 years ago. Ancient cultures burned many kinds of resins, bums and woods at their religious ceremonies. They often soaked the fragrant woods and resins in water and oil, and rubbed their bodies with the liquid. They also embalmed the dead with these perfumes.> Early Europeans used many different containers to store their perfumes.> They used glass, gold, silver, porcelain, gems, pearls, semi-precious stones and various shells. Perfume was commonly used in the form of incense.> Some incense burners consisted of a container held from chains. It was swung like a pendulum during Mass in the Christian Church. There were also stationary incense burners used in Churches.> Some perfume containers were designed to be worn. Semi-precious stones held perfumes and were pinned to clothing. Silver earrings were worn that contained perfume soaked fabric inside them.> Many containers were designed to be hung around the neck, from a belt, or from a finger ring.> Perfume bottles were always handcrafted and designed by artists, jewelers and goldsmiths. Many bottles were designed to be worn, or displayed on a table.> Nefertiti, an Egyptian beauty from an earlier dynasty, surrounded herself with perfume: containers with myrrh, flacons filled with sweet oils, and handsomely ornamented jars of unguents.> Things have certainly changed in our world of perfume bottles since this time in history wouldn’t you agree ladies.. far less decadence …

Models: Amber and Rayne / Makeup and Hair: Loran Bean / Assistants: Elleni and Adam Shot next door to where my new studio will be in Brisbane! We were locked out today, so used another room lol! Titled this way because Adam said it looked like one! About the shot: I rarely work with artificial light, mainly because I only have one flash in my kit. But today Elleni lent me her two Ellinchroms :) / This shot in particular had one light on low power coming over Rayne’s shoulder, and a bit of natural light from a window on Amber, diffused through a filter. I wanted some intense shadows for this one, and was hard to get it right. But I a pretty pleased with the results. / / Comments are appreciated

This was taken hanging out of the side of a boat on The Perfume River in Vietnam. My boat was moving past these guys in one direction and I was quickly losing time waiting for him to launch his net.
