  • This is a shot of passing by Dallas. This was a drive by. It was shot while moving, but still captured a lot of details you might miss driving by it. This is the first Downtown, I can remember. I know it better than any other Downtown. But, still do not know it enough. I enjoy exploring it, every chance I get. I enjoy being able to capture my world in change. I believe it’s reflection gets brighter everyday. This image, I will donate 100 % of profits from its sales, to go to help the homeless. Its a harsh reality, but even still, I don’t feel that anybody deserves it. It is hard to view, and not sure how, or even if I can cover it. I would rather cover them getting back on their feet, and exploring ways to help. It was always my intentions, to use my work to help give back to our communities for worthy causes, and help make the world a better place to live.

We love canvas. And Paul really loves canvas – his walls are covered with the stuff. It’s a classic format for displaying all sorts of artwork. Canvas makes us so happy that we do crazy things, like reducing the price by 20% for 72 hours so you can fill your walls with it too. Here’s Paul with “Silence (Love Awaits)” by Lindsay Blamey: And as you probably won’t have believed us, we’re going to repeat it, all stretched canvas, reduced by 20%, for the next 72 hours. Or until Sunday night for those of you who don’t like numbers. / / Maybe you’ll use this chance to let everyone know about your work on RedBubble or just maybe there’s a bit of wall space at home that’s feeling a bit empty. / / And just like on Columbo, there’s one more thing: We pushed the instant gratification button and guarantee that your canvas will ship in two business days or it’s on us. And for those that love to share, upload a photo of your canvas(es) to the Buyers’ Booth in the next two weeks. We’ll reward three people with a AU$20 RedBubble gift certificate. Details: No code needed, simply checkout with a canvas (or five) in your cart. Discount calculated on base prices through Sunday. Here are a couple of close up shots of the prints themselves so you can bask in the amazing quality. Go ahead, bask, no one’s looking. Images by Narelle, Kookylane and Monkeyboy. And here are a few shots from the Buyers’ Booth. The madness ends Sunday March 29, 2009 at 11:59 US Pacific Time.

  • Since I couldn’t find t-shirts that I wanted for myself, I decided to begin making some. People think I dye my hair. I want a t-shirt that proudly states that 1) I don’t, and 2) I’m one of the one percent of the redheads in the world (and what the heck am I doing in Alaska, when I probably should live in Scotland and Ireland?) Graphics have never been my thing, but I do love fonts and typography. Thus, please offer constructive suggestions. I’ll try to tone down my redheaded hot-headed response to any critique. I selected long-sleeves for a reason (although this comes as a short-sleeved t-shirt, too): I’ve survived one bout of sunshine-induced melanoma. I’m a survivor! Note: Safe and secure checkout featuring 128-bit SSL encryption.

  • For hot-headed redheads. / Note: my signature does not appear on the product—merely on this website image in the large view. Safe and secure checkout featuring 128-bit SSL encryption. / / Sold, with reports that the t-shirt quality is excellent. Thank you!

This promotion is a great opportunity to market your designs. All t-shirts on RedBubble are 15% off, and any order with 5 or more shirts ships free. That’s a good deal, but you can make it even better for shoppers. Here’s an example of the discount you can boast when you lower your margins temporarily for this promotion. For example, by lowering a mark-up from 30% to 15%, you can market your tees for 25% off. That sounds great to any shopper. Here are a few ways to get the word out about this promotion: 1. Announce the sale in a journal article and suggest a few best-selling (or new) designs to shoppers. 2. Use your blog, social networking hangout, or other webpage to promote your sale. You can use the graphics that we provide below, or create your own. If you create a graphic (or template) and want to share it with other RedBubble members, simply link to it in the comments area below. 3. Create a unique sales event about: New work. “See my newest t-shirt designs and get 25% off. Tees start at around $20!” Seasonal sale. “It’s winter, so stock up on long sleeve tees featuring my new designs.” “It’s summer in the US – perfect short sleeve weather…” Limited Editions. Offer a design for the week of this sale only. Then put it in storage for 6 months. Limited Editions and sales promotions work well together. Use email to spread the message. If you have a large contact list or are concerned about spam filters, services such as Campaign Monitor allow you to send emails for 1 cent per email. Plus, services like this one offer free email templates that do not require a knowledge of programming languages such as HTML. One member remarked in the article about email marketing, “I have been doing this for years and I can vouch for the fact that it works.” Read more about how to promote your work using email. If you send an email, remember to: only use a list of people that agreed to receive your emails; note the promotion deadline; check your links; and send only 1-2 emails about the promotion – one at the beginning of the promotion and one 24- or 36-hours before the promotion ends. More email tips are here. Happy selling! The RedBubble Team p.s. If you have an interest in learning more sales techniques, check out the Sales Group and our free Selling tips and tricks.
