  • There is no better way to relax then sitting outside with a glass of wine while people watching!

  • Patrulla Kouramades Corfu

  • black ink, acrylic paint on cartridge paper

  • Pensive me – lost on my rocks, along the seaside. / Lost and nothing more – and thoughts and troubles and dangerous bends of mind, as I try to save me, to flow away (along the sea again). / The same moment and thousands feelings. (p.s. the strange eyes are not the result of a saturday night with drugs – only a trip to the oculist :) ).

  • Jello, my sister’s pomeranian, is watching other dogs at play with a pensive look on his face. Perhaps he was dreaming of getting bigger and not being afraid of playing rough games with the larger dogs? At under 3½ lbs, it is certainly a good thing for him to be so careful, especially now that he has become Mr. April in the Lucky’s Friends calendar

  • Shot in natural light. / Thanks to my Husband Robert for being my model…. / Texture : Grunge Forest by AsunderStock Featured – Textures Unlimited – October 2009

  • Model Jaimie – from a Tony Ryan Workshop

  • My niece, the daughter of my heart, has kindly offered to model for me a little this afternoon. She was planning to have her gorgeous coppery auburn hair dyed to a dark brown shade this evening, and she knew that I would want to catch her before she did these unspeakable things to her hair (I know, I know, it’s her head…) We made several shots in the natural light from the window before the sun went down. I always forget to increase my ISO and I end up with slightly blurred shots because of the longer shutter speed needed to compensate, and a twitchy teen as a model. I really need to improve on this… This one has been converted to B&W for the Thoughts challenge in the B&W – Character – People Shots group. Focal length 55mm / ISO-100 / Aperture f/7,1 / Shutter 1/10 sec. / Shot in aperture priority / No flash, shot in natural light on a tripod Nikon D60 / AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f3.5-5.6G VR

  • Another shot of my beautiful young niece Jade, my sister Carole’s 14 year-old daughter. Although she has the most gorgeous natural auburn hair with warm coppery highlights, I chose black and white for this portrait in order to minimize the bright red background and purple shirt which stood out too much from the rest. Focal length 34mm / ISO-100 / Aperture f/5 / Shutter 1/13 sec. / Shot in aperture priority / No flash, shot on a tripod in the natural light from the window Converted in Photoshop 6 in Lab mode Nikon D60 / AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f3.5-5.6G VR Featured in the OLDER KIDS Aged 8-16 group on March 28, 2009 Finished in 2nd position of Top Ten in the Black and White Portrait challenge of the OLDER KIDS Aged 8-16 group on March 27, 2009

  • Uploaded for a challenge. This is our dog Lucky. It’s one of the other shots that I made at the same time as Golden Gaze It’s certainly not as spectacular, but I thought that there was something appealing anyway. Focal length 55mm / ISO-400 / Aperture f/5,6 / Shutter 1/50 sec. Shot in manual mode, hand held in natural light / Nikon D60 / AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f3.5-5.6G VR Finished in 10th position of Top Ten in the DOGS ONLY – Close-ups challenge of the Cats and Dogs Group on March 15, 2009 Finished in 6th position of Top Ten in the Sniffers challenge of the Mans Best Friend’s (Dogs only) group on April 11, 2009 Finished in 10th position of Top Ten in the Noses challenge of the Paws N Claws Group on May 17, 2009 Finished in 9th position of Top Ten in the Pet Noses challenge of the Playful Photogenic Pets Group on September 15, 2009 /

  • Digital Painting using Painter /

  • This is a multi-layered composite. I used Portrait Professional to fine-tune skin color and then did everything else with CS4. I used four of my own textures, used the beautiful model from hypoxia stock@ DeviantArt and added a mask and handwriting for a touch of intrigue. FEATURED in Dimensions ~ with special thanks and a big hug for Sharon Mau. FEATURED in Art By Bubble Hosts ~ with sincere thanks to the admins! INSPIRED BY THE MUSIC OF IL DIVO The trailer from the movie GENOVA Inspired by poetry: The Reading Club / by Patricia Goedicke And each community has its tart, its magical false Helen / Or at least someone who looks like her, in all the makeup she can muster, / The gorgeous mask of whatever quick-witted lie will keep her alive / At least a little longer, on the crest of the bloody wave, That dolorous mountain of wooden ships and water / In whose memory the women bring us this huge gift horse, / This raging animal of a play no one dares to look in the eye / For fear of what’s hidden there.
