Another place well worth a visit is Murphy’s Haystacks. To me they look like mushrooms. Take the time to explore them as they are most unusual rock formations.

This is on the Tasman Peninsular, the cave is about 80 yards long and about 12 feet high. There is a nice surf wave out the other side from here but when you go through here the water can rise almost to the top of the cave so duck diving under it can be a bit scary if you’re under for a few seconds too long with no air above, just rock.
Such is the way of the world / you can never know / just where to put all your faith / and how will it grow gonna rise up / burning black holes in dark memories / gonna rise up / turning mistakes into gold such is the passage of time / too fast to fold / and suddenly swallowed by signs / low and behold gonna rise up / find my direction magnetically / gonna rise up / and throw down my ace in the hole -Eddie Vedder

Inhabited and abandoned crofts on the bleak, Applecross Peninsular Scotland. Once home to 3000 in 1850 it now has less than 300 inhabitants The Peninsula is located on the west coast of Wester Ross, directly opposite Raasay, Rona and Skye. Access is by the Bealach nam Bo, or by the coast road from Shieldaig. The Bealach nam Bo is an old drove road used in past times to take cattle to the market. The coast road was completed in 1975, and prior to this, the coastal townships were only accessible by foot path or by sea. The Bealach nam Bo is the highest pass in Scotland at 626m (2053 feet ) above sea level. The road incorporates a number of hairpin bends and is unsuitable for learner drivers, caravans or those of a nervous disposition. However, the views of the Applecross hills, the Cuillins of Skye and the bay are spectacular. The coast road offers an alternative route for those uncertain of the Bealach, and provides panoramic views over the Torridon Mountains and Loch Torridon. Irrespective of which route is taken, the visitor never fails to be impressed by the beauty and grandeur of this rugged coastline. Courtesy of Canon400D Sigma 10-20 DC HSM

Pythons, are a family of non-venomous snakes found in Africa, Asia and Australia. Among its members are some of the largest snakes in the world. Eight genera and 26 species are currently recognized. Found in subsaharan Africa, peninsular India, Myanmar, southern China, Southeast Asia and from the Philippines southeast through Indonesia to New Guinea and Australia. In the United States an introduced population of Burmese pythons, Python molurus bivittatus, has existed as an invasive species in the Everglades National Park since the late 1990s. Many species have been hunted aggressively, which has decimated some, such as the Indian python, Most members of this family are ambush predators, in that they typically remain motionless in a camouflaged position and then strike suddenly at passing prey. They will generally not attack humans unless startled or provoked, although females protecting their eggs can be aggressive. Large adult specimens can kill people. Unsuspecting children can and have been preyed upon and swallowed whole after being suffocated. Reports of attacks on human beings were once more common in South and Southeast Asia, but are now quite rare. As is capture …. “Python …...” was featured in Extreme Close-Ups
