OK pirate fans, here’s a lassie to shiver your timbers. She’s ditched the parrot in favour of a raven, she’s kept the traditional tattoo and she’s donned a tight little dress that’s sure to keep her crew on their toes. ..................♥ the fine print ♥…............... Lily loves birds, but you already guessed that, right? These are three of her darling bluebird friends, helping her with her hair. Actually two of them are helping and one is having a little rest (lazy bugger). ..................................♥ the fine print ♥…................................ By now you would’ve guessed my love of horses! This was a commission of a true gentleman, a Warmblood. He was only a small one apparently for a warmblood, about 16hh! The people who commissioned this had others and they were bigger. / Colour pencil and white gouache on grey mount board. Size – 45cm x 60cm.

I was exploring different ways of keeping the focus on the centre of the page and ended up with this little sweetheart. She’s a flirty little milk maid who’s dripping off the page. I adore her sultry look and pouty lips. The original was illustrated on recycled cardboard with pencil, charcoal and ink. Enjoy! xxx scarlett

This is actually the oldest piece I’ve posted in here. I did this back when I was a freshmen in college nearly ten years ago. Wow, was it really that long ago? Seriously? Holy crap, I’m getting old. Anyway, this thing was absolutely huge and I went though a a WHOLE LOTTA’ pencils while drawing it.
