Lighthouse / Top of the Old Point Loma Lighthouse at Cabrillo National Monument. “Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other’s eyes for an instant?” -Henry David Thoreau
The white cross was photographed at Mt. Soledad Memorial / Featured in Project Double-X and JPG Cast-Offs [Double Exposure Project #2 – Oregon and San Diego Exposed] This is one of the images produced through double exposing a roll of film with my amazingly talented, generous, and dear friend Matt Adamik. This is our second attempt at working with this process and I am in love with every image yet again. Matt lives in Oregon and I live in San Diego. He shot the roll first, mailed it to me, and I shot over top his photos. Neither of us knew what the other was shooting. The results are astounding and breathtaking. And fun! We will be collaborating on many more double exposure projects in the very near future. A wonderful way to bring Oregon and San Diego together, as well as the styles and friendships of two photographers. I am absolutely in love with this type of photography! I highly recommend it for everyone. Thank you Matt for everything! Goggles Down!

Part of me / Has died / And won’t return / And part of me / Wants to hide / The part that’s burned Once, once / Knew how to talk to you / Once, once / But not anymore Hear the sirens call me home / Hear the sirens call me home / Hear the sirens call me home / Hear the sirens call me home Part of me / Has vied / To watch it burn / And the heart of me / Has tried / But look what it’s become Once, once / I knew how to look for you / Once, once / But that was before / Once, once / I would have laid down to died for you / Once, once / But not anymore. Hear the sirens call me home / Hear the sirens call me home / Hear the sirens call me home / Hear the sirens call me home ~Glen Hansard [Lensbaby Composer] /
Not that starfish are fast movers, but taking a Ttv photo sometimes can prove sluggish for me. I didn’t notice the other starfish’s arm reaching into the photo until I uploaded this onto my computer. I absolutely love it more now than the image I thought I had initially captured. I believe all living things have hearts that beat with emotions. Since I was a little girl living all the way over on the East coast I had only dreamed of going to the San Diego Zoo one day. Now having lived in San Diego for 11 years and been to the Zoo at least 1,000 times or more, I still smile with each visit as if it were my very first time going. This is one of the topiary bushes shaped as an elephant located at the Zoo’s entrance .. taken with my Ttv setup.
