This is probably the most photographed lighthouse in Nova Scotia. For this reason, I don’t usually like taking shots of it because most likely anyone that has visited NS has been there and done that…. However, we went on a Sunday drive and decided to go to Peggy’s Cove where this famous lighthouse lives. She is a beauty though right?
If you have a moment I am rather curious about something. I couldn’t decide between two images so I’m uploading both and calling them Peggy’s Cove, NS (1) and Peggy’s Cove, NS (2). Can you tell me which you enjoy the best? Thanks!! Darlene Here’s the other one / /
This is another image from the Peggy’s Cove collection. I’m hoping (probably in vain) that this perspective hasn’t been shot all that often as i don’t like repeating someone else’s work. I don’t recall seeing this small village portrayed this way but that could just be that I missed it. I really love how this shot turned out and I hope you do too!
Taken in Nova Scotia while on my last vacation. Another perspective of this great place . It seems that those rocks were submerged under the sea a long long time ago. Thanks for the views and comments.

Re-work of an image removed previously. / Removed the darn tourist photographer who was in the shot, then darkened it a little. Hope you like it. Taken September 2007.
This is another shot taken at Peggy’s Cove. I thought this was a nice angle and liked the shadow and light on the building. I wish I owned this property!

[Double Exposure Project #1 – Oregon and San Diego Exposed] This is one of the images produced through double exposing a roll of film with my amazingly talented, generous, and dear friend Matt Adamik. This was our first attempt at working with this process and I am in love with every image. Matt lives in Oregon and I live in San Diego. He shot the roll first, mailed it to me, and I shot over top his photos. Neither of us knew what the other was shooting. The results are astounding and breathtaking. And fun! We will be collaborating on many more double exposure projects in the very near future. A wonderful way to bring Oregon and San Diego together, as well as the styles and friendships of two photographers. I am absolutely in love with this type of photography! I highly recommend it for everyone. Thank you Matt for everything! Goggles Down!

An especially beautiful evening at Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia, with a quiet Atlantic Ocean and a beautiful flaming sunset.I’ve already posted one from the same evening (“Fireball”) and I thought it would be interesting to silhouette the lighthouse against the setting sun. I waited until there were no people about,I felt it would be an intrusion on the serenity of the scene. Sony DSCF828 camera,
A non-lighthouse shot at Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia. One of the most photographed places in North America.
In mid-October 2005, at Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada. A strong Atlantic storm presented great opportunities for really good ocean pictures. This man and his young daughter were doing the same as I was, trying for the best shots as the storm built up. At this stage, the young gal decided that wind and flying spray were not her cup of tea, so she took refuge behind one of the granite boulders while Dad braved the edge of the cliff and I captured them both. But we all had a fun time! Sony DSCF828 camera. FEATURED in “The Photographer In Action”

This one required a good strong rope wrapped around a rock and me, and I made sure it was in a secluded area where more sane people wouldn’t be tempted to do the same! I’d been watching the Atlantic swells beating against the fangs of granite rock at Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia, one day in September 2006, and the temptation to get a good close-up was just too much. There was no really good vantage point for a telephoto so the jury-rig was the only answer. Aren’t we supposed to get more sense as we get older? Or doesn’t that apply to photographers..! / Sony DSCF828 camera.
A lovely autumn day at Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia,Canada in September 2006. A light breeze off the Atlantic Ocean gives these sailors a fair wind to skirt the huge granite rocks and ledges that make up this part of the coast. / Sony DSCF828 camera

Taken Sept. 16/07 Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada. / This is one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world. The structure now houses a Canadian Post Office so you can mail postcards, etc postmarked from Peggy’s Cove. The area is very rugged with huge rocks forming the beach.
