  • Sandsend, near Whitby, North Yorkshire, England. The sun rising over the cliffs at dawn and the sea at low tide leaving still waters behind.

  • I am most proud of this shot so far in my short time doing photography. This image incorporates my passionate nature with my love of the ocean. I used to lobster fish with my Dad and so the ocean holds a lot of dear, and not so dear LOL, memories for me. I almost froze my hands off doing this. It was snowing a little while before I took this shot so you can imagine close to the water, with a breeze, how cold it was. However, in the name of love and romance, anything goes! LOL

  • These tiny balls of sand are rolled out of a hole by soldier crabs, after the tide has gone out.

  • Taken at Happisburgh on the Norfolk coast. Unfortunately it was too cloudy to capture the sunrise :( / Got a handful of shots that almost justified getting up at 5am on a Sunday!

  • A section in Bacara Beach in santa Barbara California. Magic hour, dusk time. Image was created using HDR technique from 5 raw files. (normal +1 +2 1 -2) combined and tone mapped with photomatix / -—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—— / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—--

  • Tracking the property of an “ancient” hydroelectric station on a walk deep in the woodlands of rural western Massachusetts, Eye Spy upon a plank that is part of its’ doddering infrastructure .. Eye simply saw a design in the dirt, and had to take this shot: it is unaltered, except for cropping. I love the composition and the colour(s). I moved on ..

  • Sleeping Bear Dunes on beautiful Lake Michigan in northwest Michigan USA. I love the geometric feel of this photo like sections of a pie graph. Work is underway to restore the dunes. Taken with a Nikon CoolPix5700 / Featured in the Midwestern United States group 7-27-2009 / Thank you!

  • Lover’s Key is a small group of mangrove islands located in Lee County between Ft. Myers Beach, Fl, and Bonita Beach. It’s right on the Gulf of Mexico. The islands are collectively known as Lover’s Key State Park (formerly Carl E. Johnson Park). Inland backwaters full of fish, birds, and marine life, separate the islands from each other. Boats with motors are not allowed within the Park, but motorboats are allowed in the Gulf and Bay waters surrounding the Park, and there is a boat ramp within the park. This is to protect the abundant wildlife, which includes -manatees, dolphins, various herons and roseate spoonbills, ospreys, bald eagles, raccoons, rabbits, squirrels, snook, mullet, rays, and a large variety of shellfish. a real friend is someone who takes a winter vacation on a sun-drenched beach and does not send a card —Farmer’s Almanac

  • Featured in A Fractal Energy Passion / Thank you so much ! Winner of Fractal Art Frenzy’s Best Monochromatic/Grayscale Challenge. Thank you so very much ! Something a little minimal, done for a Stillness Speaks Challenge on another site. I had envisioned something along the lines of a garden path, a few pebbles or stones …. a little sand …....... something people could just look a for a while & then quietly find their own stillness speaking to them. ;-) Apophysis.

  • Another of the Noosa Heads wonders, this rock refuses to give way to the power of the elements! How did this one piece of rock survive so long, while the rest of it crumpled away with time? Found this secret little “Pebble” beach tucked away in Noosa National Park, Noosa Heads, Queensland, Australia. As far as I can see, this beach is not named, and near impossible to get to. My 50D has a few marks on it getting here, but luckily my arms have taken most of the hits… Hehe! Canon 50D, 10mm, 16:9 crop. Available Large, and best viewed large!

  • Taken at Aireys Inlet Victoria

  • I know not many people find this beach in Noosa Heads National Park, Queensland, Australia. Every time I visit here, there is not one footprint on the beach. This is the same beach as The Immortal Soldier image, shot on the same day. The unused path that leads to this beach is hard to find, and the incline can be up to 80%, and very slippery. Sometimes sliding is the best way down :) I can sit here for hours, it’s so tranquil and unspoilt. Canon 50D, 10mm, 16:9 crop. Available Large and best viewed Large!
