This was a crack of dawn shot on the North coast of Cornwall. I spent most of the time keeping warm in the car and in the dark. But it was worth the wait. Mowenstow, Bude. Cornwall, England.

I am most proud of this shot so far in my short time doing photography. This image incorporates my passionate nature with my love of the ocean. I used to lobster fish with my Dad and so the ocean holds a lot of dear, and not so dear LOL, memories for me. I almost froze my hands off doing this. It was snowing a little while before I took this shot so you can imagine close to the water, with a breeze, how cold it was. However, in the name of love and romance, anything goes! LOL
Boulders, Cornwall. Duotoned, as ever!
Rock formations at low tide. Taken with my 5D and the EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM lens. This is a 82mm lens and I am currently using Cokin Filters (handheld).....uuuuurrgh. I am very keen to get a Lee Neutral Density Filter set. If you have this setup I would be very interested to hear from you what experiences you have made in regards to vignetting and what Lee components you have mounted on your lens. Thanks heaps

/ / / Scuba Diva is my latest creation for the “Children of the World” Series / She is a mixed media production created on brown paper over white gesso / using chalk pastels, acyrlic paint and charcoal. Scuba Diva was influenced and inspired by two friends of mine here on Red Bubble, both of their names have the initials MT Muscular Teeth who a great friend of mine challenged me to create this one… and MattTworkowski inspired me with his beautiful photographs from under the sea…. /

Taken on the Platt River in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Michigan. Thank you for your time and viewing. Those are not petoskey stones, just water reflections.
Found my Mojo!, been ages since I got wet ;-) found these warn limestone blocks in the North Bay at Kaikoura on New Zealand’s South Island, carved smooth by the sea in a very blocky pattern, very different to the other rocks I found which tended to be sharp like sharks teeth. Shot on a Nikon D700 with 17-35mm lens, with Cokin ND4 grad filter.
This was taken at a place called Swansea which had these terrific pebbles on the beach. This was the sunset on my first day in Tassie. I managed to get awesome weather the whole time I was there.

Another of the Noosa Heads wonders, this rock refuses to give way to the power of the elements! How did this one piece of rock survive so long, while the rest of it crumpled away with time? Found this secret little “Pebble” beach tucked away in Noosa National Park, Noosa Heads, Queensland, Australia. As far as I can see, this beach is not named, and near impossible to get to. My 50D has a few marks on it getting here, but luckily my arms have taken most of the hits… Hehe! Canon 50D, 10mm, 16:9 crop. Available Large, and best viewed large!
Shot in the Hutt River near Moonshine Bridge, Upper Hutt, New Zealand, view towards Moonshine Bridge. I’ve been working with this trapped timber for a few weeks now and still have not got the shot that I want, this is becoming a challenge, what I want is to get this image at sunrise, the sun comes up at the end of the tree line, it could be magical, I will keep at it. All made possible by my fishing waders and sandbags, what you cant tell, coz my 17mm lens is so wide angle that the lens is about 30cm from that branch, I’m knee deep in the water and the water drops off to about 4 feet to the right of the branch, an extreme approach but thats the difference, no one else can get this shot, no one else is daft enough. Shot on a Nikon D700 with 17-35mm Nikkor Lens, Cokin ND8 grad, tripod and sand bag.
Death-like sparks burn cold and hard / A symphony of sea salt soldiers / Shaping their invasion on awaiting land Leaping from splashes / Grasping for oxygen / A rush to do battle come the day, come the time Roaring to shore in spectacular voice / To crush the life from a million weeping pebbles / As they pray for forgiveness / Down on bended knee / Begging for second chances And all the while / Eyes peer from deep forbidden sea / For a slender gaze at the battle afoot / Gossiping like fishwives over sips of milky tea / As they twitch through heavy net curtains / And tut tut tut at the youth of today Then scuttle away / Chasing the tails of those who fled first / As the wounded and fallen lay still behind Time to draw a new breath whilst plans are redrawn / And commence another charge toward the quivering shore —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- Location: Auchmithie, Angus, Scotland © Donald Cameron 2009 / Monophotography.co.uk
I know not many people find this beach in Noosa Heads National Park, Queensland, Australia. Every time I visit here, there is not one footprint on the beach. This is the same beach as The Immortal Soldier image, shot on the same day. The unused path that leads to this beach is hard to find, and the incline can be up to 80%, and very slippery. Sometimes sliding is the best way down :) I can sit here for hours, it’s so tranquil and unspoilt. Canon 50D, 10mm, 16:9 crop. Available Large and best viewed Large!

The start of a limited edition canvas series for the Hutt River, New Zealand Shot on a Nikon D700 with 17-35mm Nikkor Lens, Cokin ND4 grad, tripod and sand bags. Active D-Lighting on high, ISO 100 Check out how fast the light went off the boil, this one is mins after the one below which has wild colours, i think I like the more subdued and rock detail better.
