  • A beautiful view in the South of France

  • There were many ducks in the little “live” stream that was surrounded by thick ice and deep snow and I caught three close-ups. Both males were looking towards the less colorful female and she was the only one who tried to look through the ice at her own reflection! So I thought perhaps narcissism does not only exist among mankind…. :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada Although deemed narcissistic by my “standard”, I’m pretty sure the “self-centered” less colorful female would not mind the proceeds of the sales of her image be put to use to protect her natural environment – and of course the admiring males could not be happier with the thought, I’m certain of it. :)

  • Ted would be happy to know that today it was VERY mild and the wood pecker took the opportunity of the “summer-like” weather to get busy at work!

  • The winter trees looked as though they were on fire when the setting sun shone upon them.

  • The fawn looked as though she could not be more than a month old as her fur was all soft to touch and fluffy. She moved slowly and gently and looked into the lens, as if to say, “Hi, my name is Baby Fluffy”. :) I thought she was the cutest of all as she has long eye lashes and shinny tender eyes. And of course I’m pretty sure my “Baby Fluffy” would not mind if I donate the earning from her pretty face to save her environment. :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada

  • River and I drove for a couple of hours before dawn and got to a spot up on a little hill in the woods, kind of feeling “freezing to death”, so we thought we’d wake up the sun and this is when…. • Photograph of an early evening relection taken in northern Michigan

  • In a cold sunny day in the forest, River was teaching herself to “stalk” a “prey”, the fast moving squirrel. She hid herself behind some fallen branches in the freezing deep snow, patiently waited, waited, and waited some more, hoping the squirrel would fall in front of her, just because she was concentrating so hard.

  • My patient who lives in the woods set up a feeding pan for the deer who live around him and this little fawn looks really well fed thanks to my patient. She was not in so much of a hurry to get food anymore so she had time to pose for a nice portrait in front of her “food source”. :) My patient liked this young fawn very much as he thought she looked as though she was a “stuffed animal”. :) :) :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada.

  • My new wolf friend seemed to like having his pictures taken – he stared “up close and personal” right into the lens. I believe it is only fitting to donate the proceeds of the sale of this image to a park that more than 200 wolves call home! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park

  • My new wolf friend was determined to teach me how to howl after our shared lunch. He very “tenderly” took half of my sandwich from my offering hand with his mouth, lay it down on the ground and ate it layer by layer, slowly and savoringly, unlike my dog River, who would ALWAYS “wolf down” whatever is offered to her! :) So now he set out, just a few feet away, raised one front leg a tiny bit for emphasis and howled. I got down on all fours, copied the posture and did the same. Obviously he was a little dissatisfied with my learning so he repeated the whole thing another time. And this time he was happy with his pupil. What a patient teacher I had! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada

And, in fact, does there exist a better image to describe the beauty of an immaculate Sapphire of purest blue? This gemstone exists in all the shades of blue skies, from the deep blue of evening skies to the bright and deep blue of a clear and beautiful summer sky, which charms all people. This colour, which is strongly associated with sapphire, is also linked to emotions such as sympathy and harmony, friendship and loyalty. These emotions belong to features which are permanent and reliable emotions where overwhelming and fiery passion is not the main element, but rather composure, mutual understanding and unshakeable trust. Sapphire blue has thus become a colour related to anything permanent and reliable, and this is one of the reasons why women in many countries settle on Sapphire for their engagement rings. Sapphire symbolizes loyalty and faithfulness, while at the same time expressing love and yearning. The most famous musical example for this melancholic shade of blue can be found in George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue”. Sapphire’s blue colour is also evoked where clear competence and controlled brainwork are the issue. • This is a classic location. Sydney’s eastern suburbs have some great beachside locations, and Coogee is amongst the best. This was taken at sunrise on a warm, spring day. The cloud formation dispersed not long after the shot, however whilst it was around it provided a great show of orange and red glows.
