A little pond near my home. The water was beginning to freeze, for me this scene shows the immobility we feel between two seasons.I have several shot of that pond,it’s a quiet place,I often go there just to be with myself and listen to the sound of nature.
This is the second HDR image shot the other day on my girlfriend’s property.. I was inspired to try my hand at an HDR involving a dam after seeing some of the brilliant work here on the Bubble.. I think it turned out well and I liked how the image almost looks as though it is bent if you look at the tree line.. / As always comments are most welcome! Thanks a lot for looking! Boats at a waterside cafe in a sunny misty morning
I didn’t run out of ducks, nope, I just thought Mr. Black Swan looked best in this different ‘view’ of the pond.. ;-) Hope everyone enjoyed this series…
Doesn’t this pair of bees look like they are having a great time on this water lily? How I envy them! :D(Best viewed when large) / /
A quiet pond where I love to go, very secluded, peaceful, and tranquil. / Kananaskis National Park, Alberta / Canada
INSPIRED BY THE SONG…”All by myself” / Same place as Peaceful but a year later.I’m passing by that little lake everyday and I always look in case I would see a few ducks or special shadows and reflections. That early morning, same day as Quiet Moments was so foggy,I had a huge fun shooting. / St-Hippolyte,north of Quebec,Canada. / / /

Ranum for the gorgeous model!! NOTE I’ve been going through some of my older works – this dates back a couple of years ago! Figured I would let them see the light of day. :D
A magical setting among the fog and mist on a cold day in January . This photo was taken in Nampa, Idaho I used an Olympus 55OUZ camera on auto setting

What can I say … Sometimes it all does come together perfect. I absolutely love how this turned out, hope you do as well. Image made with a Nikon D200 And Tokina 12-24mm lens. Slight touch of HDR post processing applied, converted to Sepia Tones in Adobe Digital Lightroom.
“Floating on Clouds” was shot in Goulds Newfoundland Canada. This is The Dory in natural light. I was talking to a friend about shooting “The Dory” and “Floating on Clouds” and how I used a polarizer to bring out the clouds on the water (as seen here) and removed it and used a flash to shoot “The Dory”. I was wondering in hindsight what I would have come up with if I had used the polarizer and flash at the same time. I know I would have given up about up to two stops with the filter which would have meant a slower shutter speed and the boat was moving, ever so slightly, so it may not have worked out? But maybe next time, live and learn! Camera Model Canon EOS 50D / Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1 / Av( Aperture Value ) 22.0 / ISO Speed 100 / Lens EF-S18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS / Focal Length 18.0mm / B + W Polarizer For more information please visit Brian’s Homepage or on Flickr
