I am STUNNED that this came out of MY camera and I am SOOO happy with it. I really hope it does well. This is a style that I have tried a couple times and failed miserably but now that I found these waterfalls I finally have a good enough subject to start out with and work with. My freind had this dress she got for like 15 dollars at a sale and was willing to go out into nature with and I just loved how it flowed. I had my camera on a tripod and used a relatively longer shutter speed which gave the whole picture a softness to it. This was taken at about 9:30 am on a cloudy morning, the sun was behind me but when she looked up the diffused sunlight caught her face very well and made her glow.

When I saw this image…..Daydream popped in my head….Our daydreams normally can consist of fantasies, wishes, hopes, things that may seem surreal, or even just the need to briefly escape from our everyday lives….and to me…the beauty of how this flower is complemented and enhanced by the particular color of lilac background gives it a natural beauty that is almost unreal..There is such vivid and striking beauty that it is very unique and pure..yet it is so very gentle and soft at the same time…The way the light streams in on the blooms almost gives the feeling of hope…happiness…life… Whether this makes much sense or not as to where the title came from…I dont know…but that is just what I knew the title had to be…. It just felt right..

Mersea Island, the most Easterly populated island in the UK, may not be renowned as a photogenic location, but, standing here at East Mersea, with the gently flowing seawater lapping against the tops of the wellies, with the line of posts so obligingly composed, and with the glorious colours spreading across the late afternoon sky, it was possible for a moment or two to believe that this was the most beautiful place on Earth. Canon EOS 5D and EF 16-35mm lens. Exposure of 30 seconds at f/13.

Sunset reflected in the wet sand of the beach of Palmar, in Vejer de la Frontera (Cadiz, Andalusia) It’s one of the most famous of the region. 4200 meters long and just over 50 meters width of virgin natural beach and fine golden sand :D / It’s waves are also the best known of Andalusia to the practice of Surf, Bodyboard and Surf and Kite. / It’s also one of the most famous Sunset in the whole area and one of my favorites to see the sunset ;) Canon 400D Featured work in SEA group (August 09) / See also /

Captured on 11/21/09 at 7:21 am in Anderson, California, the sun was trying so hard to shine through the fog…it finally made it after several attempts…..the fog was so dense at one time that our back fence was hardly visible….I love the golden yellow glow as the sun shines through the fog. It was so quiet….. Please view in large format for optimum viewing / /
