  • Eulogy
    by Mandilicious

...Now you’re wearing wings, / And you’re soaring through the sky, / And I know you’re smiling down at me, / As I sit here and cry…

This was written to commemorate two very dear men in my life that I’ve lost through death. They were more like grandfathers to me than my own ACTUAL grandfather. Losing these two men was very tragic for me. Poetry helped me conquer the pain that I experienced by losing them.

  • NIGHT SKY WONDERINGS AND WANDERINGS...

  • NOW I LIE ME DOWN TO SLEEP
    by JaneAParis

I am not cruel to them, in their minds and souls / so why do they prey on me / I do not understand / all I know for sure, is that it is not …

This is about political persecution and harrassment. One of their favorite tools is to abuse their target sexually. It is an easy hit, especially if their target is an attractive woman. They wrap you up in your own human history, and tell you that you are guilty for it, when being sexual should be a normal human function, they make it a crime. They dredge things up from the past, and play them over and over again, until they make you sick. They are master manipulators, and master controllers. And they never let you go to sleep…or at least anything that would be considered a good nights rest and dreams…only catnaps.

  • Peace be still
    by Jan Stead JEMproductions

Peace be still and know that I am God…..

So often these words of reassurance, from God himself, come to me, often in times of trouble, distress and worry, but also when I cannot sleep. And it is then that I am eased into letting go to truly Rest in Him. Tonight I woke restless with much on my mind ~ our imminent move being at the centre of my thoughts ~ and a throbbing headache. So I rose, took some paracetamol and after browsing through Red Bubble, these words began and thus I wrote. Another gift. More reassurance. / And PEACE!
