  • . / One cold foggy winters day in beautiful New Zealand The milky colour of the water of Sulphur Bay is caused by particles of sulphur being suspended in the water. This sulphur has been produced by hydrogen sulphide gas rising from the lake. / The smells of Sulphur Bay and Lake Rotorua are from sulphurous gases belched from the depths of the Earth and resemble rotten eggs !! / Steam and gases can be heard bubbling and roaring to the surface through vents and pools :)) WARNING / ©2008 Globalphotos All rights reserved. / All photographs, text and images by Globalphotos are the exclusive property of Globalphotos – protected under Australian and international copyright laws. / These images may not be reproduced, copied or manipulated without written permission. / No use for Public Domain. / Use of any image for another photographic concept or illustration is a violation of copyright.

  • My contribution for the Agent Provocateur Challenge. / The year: 2258 / This design is a symbol of the post apocalyptic era. Purpose driven war has given way to war for the sake of war. The land’s have suffered irrevocable trauma and humankind is on the brink of extinction. Man’s only hope is seek solitude in the only region left unspoiled by the Great War, the depths of the Sea. Underwater colonization could act as savior to the Human race. My design is a play on the “Dove and the Olive Branch.” The dove holding the Olive branch symbolizes hope when all hope was lost, a peace in the midst of turmoil. My design is a Guppy (fish) holding a strand of Kelp. The fish holding a strand of kelp symbolizes the hope for mankind that waits for him beneath the waters, a new frontier untouched by war.

  • street of the candlesticks
    by bellmusker

No-one ever thinks to look up at the windows.

The most beautiful place in the world is Brussels; a city where the medieval art is apocalyptic, and tattooed women are adored. I lived in the Sablon, the funky artists’ quarter of tiny meandering lanes and gabled houses. My home was built in the 1500s and held five crooked storeys ; my room had blood red walls and huge ivory windows that looked out over the cobblestones. I would sit for hours on end at my windowsill. My street was full of shadows and history, first listed on city maps in the 1100s and graced with both a Flemish and French name, like all streets in Brussels. Rue des Chandeliers / Kandalaarstraat was so magical that stories were delivered to my windowsill, and I spilt my ink with joy. My username comes from here: bell is from the two fourteenth century churches placed at either end of my alley, which would ring out the hours with medieval musicality. Musker is from the Flemish slang for girl, maskker ……and that was me, a dark eyed woman with joy in her heart and ink on her fingertips, watching the Flemish sky and laughing.

  • Hope Is the Thing With Feathers Collaboration between Isa Rodriguez and F.A. Moore, / combines similar images created by the artists separately, and at different dates, with no knowledge of the other. The likeness was so uncanny, they simply needed to be married in one piece. The separate elements are Bird Comfort by Rodriguez and Rain-I by Moore. Poem by Emily Dickenson. This work is my variation of the original. Please see F.A. Moore’s original of this collaborative work “here is my Story with this .. I had not felt it was truly mine until I layered it with another photo of mine, actually it is layered with one of my versions of a fractal I had played with a while back , one I loved especially when my cousin, Iris’, whose husband fell in love with it and sort of helped me name it “Twin Twisters. He had never appreciated art before, but started to a bit, while Iris was learning a few ropes on Rb, and spending time looking at photographs and reading the different writings. that original is here / Here are the details of the two images* / Bird Comfort Rain I* / / The way I see this : at the beginning of life, we are divinely cute, potentially everything, love to be seen and hear, clear as a bell, but sometimes dumber than dirt. albeit . sooooo good looking ..we are innocent, we are absorbing, we also love to be heard, and like to experiment and make some big booboos.. profound color, emotions galore, puberty … hot , cold , where do we go , hurt, pain, its bigger than everything .. , everything is important we think, what we say is important , what we are doing is oh so good isnt it ?? then we enter the error of a bit of doubts, and responsibilities, but we do have a style.. we even twirl our words, to make them sound better, and we can bend the rules, and we are working , and we are lonely sometimes, oh , we are so confused… but sometimes a bit content .. but mostly not, we wear our face well, but we see what is there.. and though we perch quite proudly , we feel something is missing.. .. in the middle of our careers, we are not content , but dont know how to stop the crazy machine we are on when we approach our later years, years which we are sure wont last too long.. we are fading in our bodies, but our mind .aaaaaaaah, clear as a bell sometimes , more than ever.. we are content in not being seen so much , but , some people know we have some wisdom .. we dont care what people think of us so much anymore.. we ar perched up higher, for we live to observe more. and listen more ..and also we are aware of the grass on the other side. we are ready more and more to go to the real green grass, our final home, and we wonder allot about the days gone by , and we do worry about some things. but we let things happen more, and not feel we must interfere, we know better, things tend to work out in their own way .. we ache for a young body at times, we feel we have even lost some body parts along the way .. what happened to all of our hair .. what happened to all of our skin tones ?. oh but now those wrinkles on our hands. how beautiful they can be…. aaaah , if people only knew .. how much heartache would they not have to endure. but our voice is low.. people must seek our advice. we wont do the speeches so much anymore , hence the text must be low tones, barely visible except up close lol. you can clearly see what stage I am in with this explanation dont you ?? :))

  • Featured with the group Healing Through Art Dec 2009 Featured with the group All That Is Nature Dec 2009 I visited Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park often in years past; this old fellow was the first I came to know there. He was dear to me; it ripped open my tattered heart when he died. He assumed a quiet strength and a natural poise that I feared I would miss with him gone. Something interesting happened though during this time; something changed within me and after the shifting was done I found this old guy there within me. I know that sounds crazy to a lot of people and that’s okay. This will mean something to a lot of others and it’s for that reason that I write this now. There is a current of compassion that one can tap into thru the life in nature. Just like there is life in music and art and great literature, there is life in the natural world that can inspire us to heal ourselves. My experiences have borne out that there is a power of restoration found thru the avenue of the heart where human frailty meets with a deep and abiding sense of compassion. The result of such an intermingling is nothing short of amazing, I’ve found, amazing in how I was lifted up into a level of perception previously unknown to me. I was shown new possibility, and then it was up to me to allow the changes that would make this my ordinary state of being. It seems I waited until I could not get along without it to reach out and to receive. Once I opened and allowed, I found that it had always been within me waiting – this compassion – waiting until I would choose to acknowledge it there and take it up. I was changed thru the experiencing of it. Before, it was something ‘out there and beyond me,’ a part of me that I had judged and set myself apart from. Now I simply knew it as that which I am. My identity shifted fundamentally as I became what I had felt unworthy to be – compassion restoring me into compassion. I would only see him once more after we met that day in the rain and in the green. As you can see a long life has left its marks on his face, but his eyes are bright – bright with the fires of eternity. I know, because for as long as I persist, he continues as well. He inspired me to open up within me; he is a part of what I found there. I am confident that we all are part of that. / ___ / ©Miles A Moody LivingEarth-Hearthealing.com.
