This t-shirt features genuinely fake, authentic groovy artwork with the quotation: When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace. — Sri Chinmoy Ghose This quote has been wrongly attributed to Jimi Hendrix, but Chimoy Ghose is the one who actually said it.

Letting Art Go By:Linaji 2009 When I was 11 I used to cut school / Walk to the beach and pretend / I pretended I was loved / And I pretended I was beautiful I used to sit then on the sand / And pick up shells and use them as / A phone to my heart / Worried that I was not hearing Me! I did not know it then but / I wasn’t. I laid back and let tears roll down my cheeks / I laid back and heard the wind sweep across my belly / I laid back and shut my eyes to the bright new day / I laid back and dreamed I was loved / And light and gay… Sometimes when the weather was a mix of / Sun and clouds / And the smell of rain arose / I would get a feeling: / It had edges of smiles and tender pats on the backside / It had a feeling / I still get when I open my bed / And jump inside cause it is so cold / But I pull the covers over me and / Shiver shiver shiver / And laugh all the while I never asked anyone in the world if they do this / Or did. / But it feels exciting almost sexual and free.. And, alone on the beach with the wind sand and sea / I would feel this amazing loneliness that seemed to have / Jumped off from the shoulders of this expansive joy. / Like I just made something so beautiful / And had to let it go. That’s what I feel today / As I look at the strokes of love and the / Layers of light I just allowed into Being / Which for some damn reason, / Feels all at once beautiful / And all at once Lost. I seem to worry / Does that mean I lost a part of me? / Or / Have I released the latch? / The one that opens my heart / Once again, / To another realm of Creation

This really is putting the last of the series first.. but.. it’s all one big fat circle anyway!!! Sunset Rendezvous And he came to meet me at sunset / Is that how it always ends? / My goodness he is beautiful once again / No longer full of cancer and sorrow / He is 39 and I remember that was his favorite age / He was 39 for 5 years and then he got sick But look now with a belt from the 80’s and an / Umbrella from Harrods / He is so happy and shining and seems to know / The way. / What is he saying? / He just sounds buzzy to me / Can’t quite make it out. / But I will nod yes because that is what I feel like / Here with him at sunset / Like everything is Yes Yes Yes! I’m not even thinking really / I am just dancing in his charm / And feeling like the whole of me is present / I feel like there is no need nor want / I feel satisfied and full and beautiful I left at 70 but as I see my hands they are not / 70 years old / I think they are 30ish.. and my breasts feel ripe. / Oh this is marvelous simply marvelous / I think this life after life / Hits the spot! I melt when you come down and curl up with me, / Candle drips and curly tips / Here you are my babyji / Sobbing lightly and descending to chill / Now I am attracted to you most / In all my senses / Participating / Available / Without thought or notion / Of where we began / Any of this… It is when you set all the vibrating ideas / Aside, / That spins you like a topsy tervy / Whirling dervish / And you box them up and pack them away / …..only for a moment, I know, / It is then that I see / You. / A Soul completely simple and basic / And here it is the loving of Us / That I feel / Nothing comes between us except / Maybe a fine smearing of tears, / Soon to be dried / Against the warmth of my skin. There is quiet / The quiet that makes me focus on the sound of our Kiss, / Or the complete understanding of my / Hands sliding over your skin / Then the involuntary intake of breath when I’ve Touched you / Somewhere that makes you feel / Grounded here / On the common waves of silence / Human and raw / Intertwined / Allowing your own sexuality / To call you in / And let my love speak in tones / That become the color of our world. This standing being once rooted deep in the Earth / the rivers’ waters ran high, uprooted her for rebirth A magical aura surrounds her form, in remains / as she respectfully identifies our humble domain At her base sits the medicine and strength of the Bear / whose introspective instinct fares none to compare Great Horned Owl, the largest of all night birds / guarding with discernment and outsmarting the absurd Enduring Elk supports our stamina and health / reminding us our persistence and hope brings wealth Our four-legged teachers, like the wise old wolf / taught us new paths and options, as the old were engulfed Secretive Bobcat, in her stillness, does silently watch / honoring mindfulness, with no dogma to debauch The great Buffalo reminds us scarcity is based upon fear / to be released and make way for abundance is made quite clear Atop the embodiment of Spirit, as the Eagle does soar / the freedom of oneness and connecting without keeping score Owl in the Moon oversees winds of ever-present change / whilst the realm of our ancestors broaden their range Clawed, winged, finned and even those who crawl / are akin upon Earth, as I avow never to intentionally maul As one score has passed, opening this brethrens’ door / to these medicine creatures, I gratefully accept much more than folklore. This is my niece Alanna.. she rocks my world. I have used her in several of my pieces and this one is for me one of my fav shots. She got my 6 inch boots on one day..(I ended up giving them to her) and she floated around my home as I kept shooting. She wants me to manage her career in Hollywood in a couple of years from now as she knows her Auntie L don’t take no bull. She goes to Cornish University in Seattle Wash. and is awarded a big Scholarship for her abilities as an actress. Which for a school like that are far and few between. She knows where I came from and she trusts me. I trust her. i trust her ability to be young and wrong and dream and live and allow life to show her what the next turn is in the road. I have never ever told her she had or she should do anything. I have told her if she asked me how I solve my problems and what I still can’t seem to do very well. But though my relationship with her I feel more of the youth I still have lurking well within this soul. I love teens and young people. I tend to give them more room than my peers in my head as amazing beings, and this is a mistake. For me anyway. I think we are eternal so age really is all in the settling for a thought that one is about done with growth.. / I love one line I have taken from my Abraham work.. / You Ms. Linaji… Are Never Finished and Life Is Never Done!!
It’s all about light in the Mantra of Love.
They were out on the same walk She saw buildings / He saw the sky She saw shadows / He saw the shadows of birds that fly She saw a crack / He saw a crevice She saw a hole / He saw a ditch She saw the homeless / He saw the rich She saw a rock / He saw a diamond When they got home they looked into each other’s eyes, / How shall we ever agree on this life at the same time? / They said all at once / Well… / She said / We must learn to revel in our differences / Lets go against society, / Every time I see differently or you do / Lets break out the champagne and the sweet meats / Every time one sees a problem.. Lets celebrate for the other / Every time one sees a solutions lets do it again … / Celebrate / Celebrate each other.. And then we will loose track of / Perfect timing cause every moment will be just perfect!! So they made a pact and they went for walks / When she saw buildings and he saw the sky they both / Were so happy for what the other was seeing it was like they were seeing EVERYTHING ALL AT ONCE. / It was like it did not matter any more who saw what when or where; It just mattered that they were together. / And guess what? / THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER… TEE HEE / THE END Linaji 2009
The Power of Music has been on my mind lately. I took this shot and a couple other ones of this fantastic singer. She is out of India and I so had a blast dancing and being with this group on this very big wedding day of a good friends cousin. The POWER OF VOICE!
This is a drawing I’d done inside my own leather journal. I scanned it and added lots of textures and colour. Of course… recognition goes to the great JL for his lyric.
