  My favorite color right from when was little has always been Green. I pretty sure it was the first color I knew by name. I love photographing green things, so I was happy to find out that there was a green group on redbubble.   Mary's Flowers

  I started taking pictures of Mary’s flowers at our Saturday market this summer. Mary has two acres of flowers in Buena Vista, Oregon. I was fascinated by the types of flowers she grows…not your standard bouquets. I took so many images that she asked me to design an ad for her for a local monthly newspaper. She’s repaying me in a bouquet a week! I don’t usually use any special treatments or layers or textures on my images, mostly because I am inept and don’t have the time…but I really like the way this treatment brings out all the details in her wonderful flowers.

  The Beautiful Balkans

  The Balkans (often referred to as the Balkan Peninsula although the two are not coterminous) is a geopolitical and cultural region of southeastern Europe. The region takes its name from the Balkan Mountains, which run through the centre of Bulgaria into eastern Serbia. The region has a combined area of 550,000 km2 (212,000 sq mi) and a population of about 55 million people. “Balkan” comes from a Turkish word meaning “a chain of wooded mountains”. The ancient Greek name for the Balkan Peninsula was the “Peninsula of Haemus” (Χερσόνησος τοῦ Αἵμου, Chersónēsos tou Haímou). The Balkans are also referred to as Southeastern Europe. This is a growing portfolio and contains pictures that are reflective of my locality. Calendar depicting photographis images of the Balkans – specifically the Mugla area of Turkey and Rhodes.
