I love the paws of a dog. They are so strong and functional and yet so flexible and able to be used with delicacy when needed. Proceeds from the sale of this will go to the AuCaDo Rescue Fund to help Australian Cattle Dogs in need.

She had trouble focusing her eyes and still does. Her mother was a ferrel cat that had adopted my front porch and she is a great addition to my family of cats. She purrs with a little “squeek”, the one that means I am so very content! LOL When she does that it makes my heart smile. This is Zarco my dog well at least his paw is, he is so difficult to take a photo off it took me an hour for him to relax and lay down since he is a very hiped up dog, but I got a good shot of his paw I think. / Zarco is a rescued dog and very happy to be with us for the past 2 years. This is a portrait of a house cat from one of the Mornington Peninsula Wineries (25 July, 2009) who just sits around all day! For the record, I’m a dog person and I’m allergic to cats but this cat was so well behaved and just sat so still I couldn’t help my self but photograph it! The Fulford Village Fair (York) is held on August Bank Holiday Monday every year with stalls, games, childrens’ & parents’ races, tug of war, mini steam engine rides, sometimes a tank and always a fire engine. / In the Exhibition Hall you will find giant carrots, perfect onions, red roses, paintings, cakes, bread, embroidery, handicrafts and photographs. This year I entered for the first time, submitting two images. / Icy Diamonds took second prize in the General Black & White category. / Icy Diamonds My Girlies took first prize in the Colour Portrait category. / Not only that, they won the Gate Fulford Cup for Best in Show! / WOW!!!!!!!!!!! Otters have long, slim bodies and relatively short limbs, with webbed paws. Most have sharp claws on their feet, and all have long muscular tails. They have a very soft underfur which is protected by their outer layer of long guard hair. This traps a layer of air, and keeps them dry and warm under water. Most otters have fish as the primary item in their diet, supplemented by frogs, crayfish and crabs. Some are expert at opening shellfish, and others will take any available small mammals or birds. Otters are playful animals, for example sliding repeatedly down snowy slopes, apparently from sheer enjoyment. Click on Magazines above ! This was taken at the Paradise Wildlife Park. One of 2 White Lion Cubs that were born there in April of this year. I just love the size of their paws at that age, so cute. Had a hard time dragging myself away from watching them play, but they were waiting to shut the park. :D…
