Lone figure walking into the shadows…...
Spiral staircase in the Vatican Museum. / I love spiral staircases and this is an amazing example. Definately inspired by nature, when you looked at it you coudn’t help but see the shell like forms appearing. I would love to photograph this with nobody else around, but I actually feel the people add some scale to this piece and I dont mind them being there at all. If I didnt have the Vatican Guards looking over my shoulder I would have been there all day!
From a shoot with the wonderful Jo O’Brien / She was the mastermind behind this image… her body, her artistic direction. HDR of the millennium bridge in London with st Paul’s cathedral in the background It had been very stormy, a hail storm had just passed as the sun broke through, illuminating the cathedral, this is a composite of about 10 shots, to get rid off some of the tourists. HDR processed in photomatix from a single composite image, then processed using CS3 with lots of layers and tweaks. Canon 400D, Canon 10-22mm @13mm, f14, 0.5, iso100
