Mist over Lakes Entrance, Victoria.
Some of the old Bouys from Corio Bay, that now adorn the foreshore in Geelong. Shhhh !! Don’t tell anyone, but these three were shuffling and waddling towards the water’s edge for an evening swim !!

Had several suggestions on how to tweak and improve this photo, by leveling the horizon and tweaking the colors a bit. Finally got around to making the changes. Hope you like this one even more!

Give me peace so I won’t cry anymore, / Peace so my soul can rest and / have something left to fight for. Give me peace so my heart can love, / Peace so I can can believe / that there is good above. Give me peace so I can rest tonight, / Peace so I can sleep, not searching / for his image within the night. Give me peace so I can go on, / Peace so I can be at peace / within the dreams that I long.
Took this while out walking :0)))

A small creek flowing under the relatively new bridge at Sinnissippi park in Sterling Illinois. Im unsure of the name of the creek. But the park is really nice, it has an 18 hole discgolf course and about 15 Hopewell indian burial mounds. / Sony DSC W100

The path to enlightenment. A creek tha flows out of the waterfall at Kaskaskia Canyon in Starved Rock State Park.
This rustic simple bridge was found on the “Highland Trail” in Rickett’s Glen, over one of the small tributaries of Kitchen Creek. Rickett’s Glen is a Pennsylvania State Park in the north eastern part of the state. Some of the hiking paths are quite steep and very rugged, especially near the waterfalls, but some of the trails are a fairly easy stroll, like the section pictured here. This photo was captured with a Canon EOS 10D camera body using a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L Zoom lens, at the 36mm focal length. The shutter speed was .5 sec at f/11. The camera’s ISO was set to 100. A Manfrotto, tripod was used. Your comments are always welcome! Constructive criticism is appreciated. © 2009 Gene Walls All copyright and reproduction rights are retained by the artist. What can I say? ...This is a wonderful place to be! Ricketts Glen State Park in north east Pennsylvania. This photo was just taken on August 15th, 2009. It was shot with a Canon EOS 10D using a Canon EF 35-350mm f/3.5-5.6L zoom lens set to 35mm. The shutter speed was 1/250th sec. at f/4. The camera’s ISO was set to 100. Kitchen Creek is responsible for creating the amazing natural gorge that is presently known as Ricketts Glen. This is the main stream, as seen from the Falls Trail, winding its way northward toward Lake Jean at the top of the gorge. The natural light that was available here just before noon, with the sun nearly at its peak, was muted by the dense stand of leaf-covered trees. The wonderful daylight gave this gorgeous scene a lush green cast. The heavy growth of moss on all of the rocks completed the rich green-on-green palette. I wish I could let you smell the sweet vegetation in the air and hear the “music” of the rushing whitewater… but I can’t. You will just have to visit this incredible place yourself to fully experience the awesome beauty that I found in Ricketts Glen! Ricketts Glen is a large State Park, located in the north eastern region of Pennsylvania. The nearest community to the park is Red Rock, situated at the junction state routes RT-118 and RT-487. Please use “View Larger” on this one… A Canon EOS 10D DSLR body, fitted with a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L Zoom lens was used. The lens was zoomed to the 20mm focal length. The camera’s shutter speed was 0.3 sec at f/22 for maximum depth-of-field. The camera’s ISO was set to 100. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release cable. One of the last shots I took in NY in November 2008. I was blown away by the Park showing it’s best autumnal shades along the curved path on the Upper East Side.
