  • A foggy day in Badger Weir.

  • I went out on a trike ride this afternoon. Only 20% chance of rain, except we got 100% of the 20% that was expected. I kept saying to my self, hmmm, water makes the colors more saturated. What colors??? So here is the only one of the batch that I can post. We are half way between summer and fall. Rain is in the forecast, and I can forget about getting out to take pictures of the moon anytime soon

  • This image was taken before dawn down at North Narrabeen Rock Pool. This is one of the largest rock pools in Australia. This image was a 3 minute exposure which captures a lovely blurring of the clouds. The interesting colours of the water are due to overhead lighting on the pool. This is a very simple but peaceful image. For those that want to find out how I produced this, I described my processing in detail in one of my blog posts You can read it here

  • A strip of Central NSW Coastland (HDR) Magenta, Central Coast NSW

  • This shot was taken off of US Highway 98 in Destin, FL on Okaloosa Island which is a barrier island that separates the Gulf of Mexico from Choctawhatchee Bay. The gulf is typically pretty calm in this area. The sea oats in the foreground are abundant in the area. / / Click on the buy/preview button to see the many RedBubble print options for this photo. / /

  • The Beautifull Malvern Hills in the heart of England. Seen here looking North from British camp, an ancient Iron Age Hill fort , and reputed to be the inspiration for Tolkien’s Weather Top where Frodo is stabbed by the Nasgul’s blade. Taken late in May, just before sunset. The Victorian town of Great Malvern is nestled into the highest of the hills, and is famous for its natural mineral water springs and wells which run freely from the hillside. The Queen even drinks Malvern Water…...could Malvern have been Tolkien’s Rivendell?

NOTE: Rainbow Waterfalls was nominated to the Pay It Forward group by Kathy S Gillentine and here is what she had to say: ”I want to nominate bigd / He has a great eye for photography. • I’m temporally challenged so dawn shots are rare for me but a couple of times a year near to daylight saving change-overs the sun stops getting up at a silly hour and becomes rather more civilised. I was lucky enough to shoot this after a night of rain so the rock pool on top of the cliffs was full. Shot off Bundeena Cliffs, Royal National Park, Sydney. Canon 1Ds Mk III / Tv: 1/30 sec / Av: f/22 / ISO: 200 / FL: 35mm

  • A work not of my usual style, This is Pretty much as is, I did amp up the colour to make it a little more vibrant but that is pretty much it, Thats why I have added this one. Sorry if you were expecting more meaning and feeling. Lights may guide you, they may take you on the right path, but do not be fooled into thinking it is the only way, for you may come to the end of the path and find nothing but empty, cold, dark nothing is in font of you. The key is to just turn back and find another path, at least you now know this is not the way. Do not get held up thinking it is wasted time, for travelling the wrong path is the only true way to knowing what is and isn’t your fate. / The Brightest beginnings may be the Darkest ends. So be weary. Featured in: / Photography 101 / Colour Me A Rainbow D90
