The Path in wonderland. / I Love this image a lot , Spiritually i would call it / ” The road less traveled ” which is also a title of a book that i enjoy reading. / —-—-—-—-—-—— Sally Omar / got inspired by my work and wrote this amazing Poem to go with this Image ,Thank you sally / —-—-—-—-—-—- THE PATH There is The Path of the unknown / Where I walked all alone / No one there by my side / Afraid to run wanting to hide / But as I walked there was such peace / All my fears suddenly ceased / I felt the hand of God calling to me / And the trees and the clouds guiding me / I walked this Path and felt no fear / Knowing that our Maker was near / I prayed aloud wanting Him to listen / Asking him what was my mission / I heard a Voice say down to me / Be a good person and one day you’ll see / A Heaven that is beyond reverie / You shall be honored at the Gate / Where your Lord and God await / So turn around it’s not your time / Live your life and you’ll do fine / When you’re ready for this Wonderland / I will be there to hold your hand.

Nikon D40, 18-55mm Nikkor lens Thankfully we had dressed warm enough for a short excursion, even though we were headed for the theatre later in the day, but I forgot and put on an old pair of leather gloves that are really not winter appropriate. At one point, my fingers were freezing, mainly due to my taking my hands out of the gloves in order to work the camera, and Wanda, my friend, made me swap with her so that I could wear her warm woolen mittens in between shots. / Friendship is sharing mittens, that’s for sure! / The beauty of this walk left a big impression on me. We barely covered any distance because of the cold and our husbands waiting back at her home, but she wanted me to see what a wonderful area was here in her neighborhood for exploring, and we vowed to come back, dressed appropriately and armed with snowshoes to make the passage easier. This is the background to the composite picture I called “Morrow”. This shot was taken in Woburn, Bedfordshire, UK. I took a few shots, some empty then a few of myself walking (actually running and counting) down the path. I was quite glad no one was around as it must have looked a sight. Sprint-Count-Stop-Pose-Jog back and repeat. I hope you like it, sans figures. Greeting Cards / Framed Print / Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 24mm, f/8, 1/80 sec, ISO 200. No filters used. A slight touchup job in CS4. This shot is also available from a photobook collection called Rural Mementos by redtree.me © Copyright 2009 David Reid – redtree.me – All rights reserved.
