She is my hero. As a little girl I looked up to her. And as young children do I asked questions incessively …. why … why … why. She always listened and gave me an answer even if the answer was “ask me again tomorrow”. She taught me to jitterbug on my 6th birthday and allowed me to play “Lonely Guitar” by Annette Funicello about 100 times because I loved it so much! She was also my worse fear when the darkness fell over her. But she fought her way back and never … not once… asked “why me?”. Her life was a continuing struggle to stay sane. But she always knew everything would be alright because, she said, “God is always with me” ... and He was! I have never known anyone with more trust and faith than hers. When I cursed God for what He had done to her, she would tell me, “NO, He does it to show that He loves even the sick and insane. His LOVE knows no bounds.” She has had her accomplishments in life too. She was chosen as the local spokesperson for the agency Compeer because of her unique strength and personality. Her picture was in the local newspaper and she went with her compeer volunteer to events to promote more volunteers. I was so proud of her, she had come so far! She has suffered with multiple health issues and many, many devastating side effects from drugs that were tested on her. She overcame the twitches and shakes that are so frequently associated with mentally ill people cowarding in a corner afraid of their own shadow. She had to deal with her mouth over salivating causing her to look like she was foaming at the mouth … INSANE, right? And you would be right. Besides suffering from paranoid schizophrenia, my hero also has diabetes, congestive heart failure, poor circulation, high blood pressure and severe osteoporosis. But God is with her, she would tell you so there is no need to worry. And she would remind me about the one question I would always ask her and her AMAZING answer to this impossible question. Her body is weak and her mind unstable but HER SPIRIT is free and PERFECT. She is my hero … and my sister. I love you, Pat. Please listen to the music of Wild Fire as you view this picture. Thank you. (Note: Compeer Inc. is an international, non-profit organization that helps adults and children overcome the devastating effects of mental illness, such as loneliness, isolation and low self-esteem – through the power of friendship).

Strange fantasy creature has some wise advice for us when our stress level starts to rise…. Don’t sweat the petty things, and don’t pet the sweaty things. Humor for home or the office.

  • Rabbits generally live between four and twenty years.Rabbits are ground dwellers that live in environments ranging from desert to tropical forest and wetland. Rabbits kept in a home as pets for companionship are referred to as house rabbits. They typically have an indoor pen and a rabbit-safe place to run and exercise, such as a living or family room. Rabbits are easily trained to use a litter box and can learn to come when called. Their diet typically consists of unlimited Timothy hay, a small amount of pellets, and fresh vegetables. House rabbits are quiet pets, but are unsuitable for households with small children as they are easily frightened by loud noises and can be harmed by mishandling. Domestic rabbits that are not house rabbits also often serve as companions for their owners, typically living in an easily accessible hutch outside the home.

  • Pat 1949-1989 This is my lovely wife who died in 1989 from breast cancer. During the three year downhill slide to her passing it, of course, fired my, hopefully, loving support for Pat and study of this dreadful dis-ease. A distressing phone call from a friend inspired me to upload this very rare (and not very good – she was camera shy) pic of Pat. I did so in the hopes that my fellow males might read up on the awful emotional, mental and physical effects of the dis-ease and thus be better able to support those who may suffer. It is a particular form of cancer which, I believe, women fear the most My aim is not to depress people. There have been some great medical strides made since ‘89. And of course alternative medicine and spiritual healing, as an adjunt, can bring positive results. It’s just that statistically a poor woman (and the occasional male) near you may become a sufferer. Don’t go into self denial; bring peace, calm and all the love you can muster to support the sufferer. Hugs Andy

  • While wandering one day, I happened upon the most beautiful and unique canine. He was crystal clear, and what a personality. I reached out, and gave him a pat on the head. That was the clincher. He has been my most faithful companion in my dreaming journey ever since :-) Image and text created by Susan Isabella Sheehan / “Art Is The Perception Of An Altered Reality©” / Copyright 2008 Surreal Digital Artist™ Please visit my personal page here on Red Bubble I invite you to visit Surreal Digital Artist

  • Perhaps night is a better time to view this river. This shot is as taken with no changes, It was taken after waiting for the wind to go across the forground water while the distant water was still. It took a while but came out as a really nice shot.
