Large oak tree in California….....just breaking buds in spring. All the original limbs have broken off with age and snow load. These limbs are all secondary growth.

I ride alone, lost in my thoughts, taking in the beautiful sights around me. Like a pillar of strength, you appear out of nowhere when I least expected it. Greener pastures on both sides of the fence. You’re shining light gives me hope that blue skies will prevail, and that the storm will just blow over. For I am travelling the long road home. Correct, do not pass this scene without stopping for a picture or two. Just out and about, heading to a favorite tree of mine, came upon this fantastic sky. Taken with D200 and Tokina 12-24mm f/4 lens. Touch of HDR applied.

A field behind my house in Lawton, Oklahoma. A while after sunset. Longer than normal exposure while I purposely moved the camera down…I wanted it blurred. The only manipulation done was lowering the temperature down in photoshop making it more blue…I have a thing for blue right now…not sure why… Nikon D80 / March 2009 Thanks for the Home Page Feature!!! / 502 views as of 15 nov 09 for the 500-5000 Views group

Lawton, OK / May 09 2 photos layered with different opacities Brushes I found on the web here All put together in CS4 by me =) Nikon D80 For Earth Keepers: Lawton, OK is HOT, muggy and buggy. There isn’t much to do around here, but when you look around with the right attitude there is beauty to be found. However…. with the extreme wind here the garbage gets blown all over the cow pastures and hay fields. We need to be better about securing our trash and that include not producing as much too.
