this was shot awhile back, about a year ago, walking along in cades cove on a beautiful foggy morning, i saw this spiderweb on a fence, it reminded me of the indian’s dreamcatcher..hence the title
shot this yesterday morning in cades cove, in the great smoky mountains, just as the sun was coming up. this is also my second shot featured on Outdoor Photographer’s Magazine’s website :)

A field behind my house in Lawton, Oklahoma. A while after sunset. Longer than normal exposure while I purposely moved the camera down…I wanted it blurred. The only manipulation done was lowering the temperature down in photoshop making it more blue…I have a thing for blue right now…not sure why… Nikon D80 / March 2009
Taken in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales UK. The wind was howling and the clouds screaming by … whilst this lone sheep stood defiant.

FEATURED in the Out of the Past group May 2009 New Partner by Will Oldham There’s a black tinted sunset with the prettiest of skies / Lay back, lay back, rest your head on my thighs / There is some awful action that just breathes from my hand / Just breaths from a deed so exquisetly grand And you are always on my mind Well, I would not have moved if I knew you were here / Its some special action with motives unclear / Now you’ll haunt me, you’ll haunt me / Till I’ve paid for what I’ve done / It’s a payment which precludes the having of fun And you are always on mind But hello, I’ve got a new partner riding with me / I’v got a new partner, hello Now the sun’s fading faster, we’re ready to go / There’s a skirt in the bedroom that’s pleasantly low / And the loons on the moor, the fish in the flow / And my friends, my friends still will whisper hello / We all know what we know, it’s a hard swath to mow / When you think like a hermit you forget what you know And you are always on my mind / I’ve got a new partner, riding with me / I’ve got a new partner now Model: JacquiS / Equine Model: Kyra / Location: South Coast NSW

Large oak tree in California….....just breaking buds in spring. All the original limbs have broken off with age and snow load. These limbs are all secondary growth.
I ride alone, lost in my thoughts, taking in the beautiful sights around me. Like a pillar of strength, you appear out of nowhere when I least expected it. Greener pastures on both sides of the fence. You’re shining light gives me hope that blue skies will prevail, and that the storm will just blow over. For I am travelling the long road home. My art with 1000+ views

Late afternoon on pastures in Northern California.
A few months ago I heard this song called A HORSE WITH NO NAME. I recalled it from my high school days. I just fell in love with the song again (lyrics below). And…last weekend while in the State of Virginia—I saw this horse that just sort of posed for me. It was my very own ‘horse with no name’; however, I think I’ll call it SUGAR. A HORSE WITH NO NAME (lyrics) On the first part of the journey / I was looking at all the life / There were plants and birds and rocks and things / There was sand and hills and rings / The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz / And the sky with no clouds / The heat was hot and the ground was dry / But the air was full of sound I’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name / It felt good to be out of the rain / In the desert you can remember your name / ‘Cause there ain’t no one for to give you no pain / La, la … After two days in the desert sun / My skin began to turn red / After three days in the desert fun / I was looking at a river bed / And the story it told of a river that flowed / Made me sad to think it was dead You see I’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name / It felt good to be out of the rain / In the desert you can remember your name / ‘Cause there ain’t no one for to give you no pain / La, la … After nine days I let the horse run free / ‘Cause the desert had turned to sea / There were plants and birds and rocks and things / there was sand and hills and rings / The ocean is a desert with it’s life underground / And a perfect disguise above / Under the cities lies a heart made of ground / But the humans will give no love You see I’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name / It felt good to be out of the rain / In the desert you can remember your name / ‘Cause there ain’t no one for to give you no pain / La, la …

Jesus often went to a quiet place to pray. Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Mark 1:35 A crop from an acrylic abstract landscape painting with decorative side bar and additinal digital effect added.

My wife and I were out for a hike one afternoon, we were actual following a whale that we saw from high atop the cliffs. We were walking down this coastal trail to get a better view of the whale when we came across this oceanside pasture. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /
