Mom, Mary Magdalen (Kelly) McMahon, has eleven children of her own, 27 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and delights in each new addition to the family. Pastel on Kitty Wallis sanded paper.

  • This pastel of me with my favourite four legged friend, resulted from one of our many visits to the Eastern Creek Quarantine Kennels, before our little furry friends were released from their 7 month incarceration. We visited them at least twice a week for an hour at a time. It was tough, but we are all now happily reunited. The green ball is a symbol for Dexter’s greatest joy in life, other than “Walkies” He loves to chase and fetch. It is his “X-Box” entertainment :)

Tara is the Tibetan Buddhist feminine half of Buddha. In this piece I drew White Tara as she is the aspect of Tara that is compassionate and sensitive. I believe White Tara is crying a river of tears right now. I wonder if she will get tired of crying and give up on her children. When will we stop playing war games and treat one another with compassion? / There was also a report on the Gyuto Monks Tantric Choir.   • Okay..this is my rendition of Byron’s ... crazy,goofy, four legged best friend, Tucker. / If you have ever seen Byron’s captures of this silly beast you will see why I decided to overly animate my interpretation of the photographs’ Byron sent me. Tucker reminds me of a Spirit that is sent to you to keep you young, on your toes and show you unconditional love…as long as there is a treat in it somewhere along the line…. LOL Hope this brings a smile to your face Byron (and Julie) ...I really tried to get serious, but I was not in control of the pencils…Tucker was a joy to flurry through… This is an original Pastel Pencil and Prismacolor Pencil drawing.
