  • Shot at the trainstation in Aarhus, Denmark in January – a train was leaving the station, and as I walked up along the carts, I noticed this guy sitting there. I moved a couple of carts ahead, put the viewfinder to my eye, waited for him to get in the picture – and snap.

  • Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

  • Ever get the mood to just ‘up and go’...disappear for a few weeks to a very exotic and a place to call your own? / I took this photo at a Metro station in Paris, France. Sold 1 mounted print to a mystery buyer. As a postcard I thought it would offer an ideal TRAVEL ‘on the go’ type of message.

  • It was a cold, chilly winter day when the “E” train pulled into the station, as it has for almost a century . Arriving passengers were greeted by a ghost who silently raised his hat as the train passed by. As soon as the train came to rest, the ghost vanished just like he has in years passed. Many locals suggest that the good ghost wards off the evil onboard this train. Paranormal? I’d say so. / Try viewing image in large! Multiple images were used to create this image, which was created via multiple layers, some selective coloring, dodge & burn technique as well as the Redfield Fractalius filter was applied. Images were taken with both the Nikon D200 & D300. My art with 1000+ views

  • I’m feeling supersonic / Give me gin and tonic Oasis | SUPERSONIC (click through to the music video which I had never seen till last night and incredibly, is full of passenger jets). This tee has been simmering away for quite a while. The jets are all computer renders of a modified copyright free 3d model. For the sound challenge. You can vote for this entry by clicking here. I’ve narrowed it down, but can’t decide on a t-shirt colour to enter – please let me know what your pick is.

  • Always lurking in the shadows of the mind. / The demon-self that instills doubt & fear.

  • On my way to a wedding in Melbourne, I took this shot very spare of the moment while boarding said aircraft a few seconds later. Funny thing is that literally as I took the shot a security guard sped over to me in a little golf cart thing and told me off for taking a photo in a secure area! The thing is, having worked in the airline industry on the tarmac for the previous 13 years having taken my own pics and seen countless others take shots without question within the airport, the first picture I take as a passenger and I’m accussed of being a terrorist, haha! Nikon D90, Sigma 10-20mm, HDR’d in Photomatix with 3 exposures of -2, 0 & +2, quick tidy up in Iphoto.

  • Douglas DC-3 without wording Pencil on 14×17 Strathmore drawing medium 80lb. paper sprayed with lacquer. United airlines DC-3 makes ready for flight. The DC-3 was built in the 1930’s and is still flying today. Updates to avionics and engines have been made, but the basic airframe has been left alone. Just goes to show that it is truly hard to improve on a perfect design that meets so many requirements or fills so many demands. Cheers to Mr. Douglas!

  • The New York Central Railroad (reporting mark NYC), known simply as the New York Central in its publicity, was a railroad operating in the Northeastern United States. Headquartered in New York, the railroad served most of the Northeast, including extensive trackage in the states of New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Massachusetts, plus additional trackage in the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec. Its primary connections included Chicago and Boston. The NYC’s Grand Central Terminal in New York City is one of its best known extant landmarks. In 1968 the NYC merged with its former rival, the Pennsylvania Railroad, to form Penn Central (the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad joined in 1969). That company soon went bankrupt and was taken over by the federal government and merged into Conrail in 1976. Conrail was broken up in 1998, and portions of its system was transferred to the newly-formed New York Central Lines LLC, a subsidiary leased to, and eventually absorbed by CSX. That company’s lines included the original New York Central main line, but outside that area it included lines that were never part of the NYC system.
