I originally intended this shot to be a picture of my son holding onto these balloons and taking off, floating into up into the sky … a fantasy, sotybook sort of image. However, my daughter immediately grabbed these balloons from him and started running off. So, as it turned out this eded up having a more realistic look than the one I originally intended, but I thought it turned out pretty cute with the desaturated colors throughout, except for the colorful balloons. Sold 2 laminated prints to RB Members.

Click on the images below for a more detailed close-up / / “Finches On Parade” is about the communal abstract chatter that one encounters when in amongst a crowd of like-minded personalities. / I have chosen not to emphasize the precise detail of each bird but rather their general shape as they caper around, to give the impression of constant movement. A piece I did for Easter. The Alice and Wonderland colors of the girl are coincidental, but if thats what you want it to be, then fine.
*My work was featured in the group Video Montage / ( Thanks Muscular Teeth and Butchart ) Excerpt from “Abigail’s Friends” written by Anthony Hedger illustrated by Carrie Glenn. ...“I think we better go back now.” She whispered to the butterfly. / “Why?” The butterfly asked. “It’s only my friends and they are having a special tea party just for you, come on and I’ll introduce you to them.” / “Er, ok, if you think I’ll be alright?” / “Of course you’ll be alright.” The red fox called to her. “Come on your tea is getting cold.” / So for the next two hours Abigail sat with Mr. Fox, Mr. Bear, Miss Rabbit, Ms. Blue bird and a hundred different butterflies and had tea and cake and chatted as though she had known them all her life. She gave each of them a big, big hug after and thanked them for making this the best birthday ever. / “Er, just before I do go home, how did you know it was my birthday anyway?” / “You could say a little bird told us.” The bear said gently and they all began to laugh…read more / CarrieGlennStudios.Com / My Zazzle Gallery

There are rules regarding food at kids parties! Grab the brightest and messiest stuff you can find, mix in a whole bunch of sugar and preservatives, and, where possible, put several items into your mouth at one time. If you can mix sweet and savoury together, then all the better. This shirt celebrates the junction of two great party foods: Fairy Bread and Hot Dogs. It’s the FAIRY DOG. Go on, I know you want one. EXTRA NOTES: A fairy dog says “happy birthday” just as much as champagne says “congratulations”. Eating fairy dogs brings back your youth. Fairy dogs are the national dish of Partistan. While fairy dogs are fine with tomato sauce (ketchup), they should never be consumed with mustard. That’s just gross. If you are celebrating a very important and formal occasion, this recipe may be altered slightly by replacing the “hundreds & thousands” (pretty coloured sugary sprinkles) with those really posh little sugary silver balls on which you can also break a tooth.

The Adelaide Eye, as we called it.. a not so giant ferris wheel, located across the road from our apartment in Glenelg, where we stayed over the weekend. I’ve always wanted to capture a ferris wheel, never had the chance to do it until this moment. Desaturated this one and added a texture from www.deviantart.com to achieve a more vintage look. Reminds me of summers gone past from my childhood.
