Silent Partner I’m living in God’s light / Where all abundance lies / All darkness and despair / Comes pouring from my eyes / The power is with-in / Can never cease to shine / All glory joy and wonder / While so divine, is mine. This garment that I wore / This fog that held me in / Does dissipate and fall below / My living can begin / For all my life I’ve squandered / What I never really knew / The abundance of the universe / My right; my own; my due! Through these colours that I’m living / This multi-coloured gown / Holds all the treasures that I own / They are my very crown / So regally let me dwell here / And in the royal suit / I share my kingly treasures / With ere no ill repute. For all I have is yours / And all there is, is mine / I have a silent partner / Who shines a light divine / He watches ever silent / In all reason and all rhyme / In the silence of beginning / And end…is instant time. So wrap your wreath around me / Bejewelled and rarefied / And wash here in the ocean / Where abundance swells the tide / To full and overflowing / Without fear it will subside / From the spring that has all knowing / And all that is supplied.

The Princess was fed up with the list of Heroes who would visit the castle every day to ask her for hand in marriage. / Some wanted to go on long quests and bring back unusual things for her / Others wanted to go and slay a dragon to prove how brave they were / One didn’t even talk; he was too busy admiring his own reflection in the mirror. / All were far too serious with no time for fun. / So in the end she wrote an advert in the local newspaper:- Young maiden looking for love, / I’ve looked below, I’ve looked above. / I want a peaceloving, homeloving man / Who will make me laugh if he can / Who’ll fill my life with love and laughter / And who will be my happy ever after The next morning there was a gnome at the door. / Everyone was shocked to see him there. / But the Princess knew as soon as she saw his happy smiling face that she would be happy with him. / He was the perfect partner for the Princess….......of the fairies!

A pen and ink sketch of my partner, Diane, waiting on a bench until I finish my sketch. Tohono Chul Park is a wonderful urban park in Tucson that has several older fine homes on it devoted to art galleries, gift shops and restaurants. These are surrounded by meandering trails through their lush enhanced, though very natural, gardens of native Sonoran Desert vegetation. It’s beautiful and peaceful. / She’s shaded by a Palo Verde tree and rocks and a century plant created the natural composition. Drawn in my Canson sketch book, 5.5”x8.5” acid free recycled paper
