drawn by a student in maths tutoring. I loved it so much, I offered to put it on a t-shirt for him. It was just a simple pencil drawing. I ‘coloured in’, using photoshop. now ready for the other printing methods
I guess this doesn’t require much explanation. Smiles. I hope it caught your eye at the very least. :)
Montenegran woman with one of her cats. I was staying in her house in the little village of Perast, and I think there were at least seven cats living with her, perhaps more! In the village itself there were hundreds, but I only saw one dog!
Marriage or wedlock is an interpersonal relationship with governmental, social, or religious recognition. It is often created as a contract or through civil processes. Civil marriage is the legal concept of marriage as a governmental institution. / The most common form of marriage unites one man and one woman as husband and wife. Other forms of marriage also exist: for example, polygamy in which a person takes more than one spouse is common in many societies. In some jurisdictions civil marriage has been expanded to include same-sex marriage. / People marry for many reasons, but usually one or more of the following: legal, social and economic stability; the formation of a family unit; procreation and the education and nurturing of children; legitimizing sexual relations; public declaration of love; or to obtain citizenship.
Taken in natural light Two good sports and lifetime performers and companions – My father and mother. This image was inspired by American Gothic – a painting by Grant Wood from 1930. Portraying a pitchfork-holding farmer and a younger woman (imagined to be his wife or daughter) in front of a house of Carpenter Gothic style, it is one of the most familiar images in 20th century American art. Wood wanted to depict the traditional roles of men and women as the man is holding a pitchfork symbolizing hand labor. Wood referenced late 19th century photography and posed his sitters in a manner reminiscent of early American portraiture.

I’ve bought six new IKEA glasses but one of them got broken when I washed it for the first time. Of course, I wouldn’t just throw it away, as well as my daughter couldn’t throw away a Camellia blossom she has found fallen at the ground two days later… / I believe these two imperfect subjects made a perfect combination. What do you think?

I persuaded their caregiver to allow me into the lions enclosure to take photographs. Had I realised at the time that they were licking their lips, I might not have been as brave. I felt safe behind my camera lol.

Title: Innocent Partner / Medium: Acrylic on stretched canvas / Size: 500mm x 600mm / 2nd Prize winner in the Dunedin International Airport Art Awards / Original SOLD This was a painting I recently finished. It was an art challenge held by the New Zealand Art Guild. Four things ha to be incorporated in an artwork, they were: / innocence, orange, umbrella and triangle. Here is Little Red Riding Hood (the innocent) although she doesn’t look it here…with the Big Bad Wolf who has offered her shelter under his umbrella as it has started to snow again. She is on her way to take some fruit (orange amongst them) to her elderly Grandma who lives in a cottage deep in the forest. I wanted to interpret ‘triangle’ in the three character relationship i.e. Little Red Riding Hood, her Grandma and the Big Bad Wolf. Alternatively sections of the umbrella are triangular in shape.
Every now and then working in monochrome is a treat. Rather than focusing so much on color, you can concentrate on light and dark and shape and form. It is a different exercise and one I enjoy. The medium is watercolor, I use Arches cold pressed 100% cotton paper, and the dimensions of the original painting are 14 inches x 16 inches.
Went back to my two favorite subjects…horses and painting pretty ladies… / This is an oil and acrylic painting…I use the acrylic as an under-painting and put the details in with oil. / 20”X24” artist canvas board. / Thank you for viewing my art. / This original is for sale.
