From my first visit to the sheep pasture this summer. This beautiful spring lamb was happily experimenting all the different tastes of vegetation. The photo is taken in Siuntio, Finland June 2009.
It’s so easy to overlook the smaller and seemingly insignificant plants growing in our gardens. I found this tiny little parsley flower today – and it has so much beauty to offer. Each of these little flower clusters measure approx. .5cm in diameter. / Best Viewed Larger. / /

Foeniculum vulgare, a culinary herb of the parsley family, in other words the Common Fennel. Its oval greenish-brown seeds are used to garnish both sweet and savory dishes.

Taken on macro mode with the Sony (flash used) July 23rd – this parsley is in a huge container i have of herbs which i bought at Loblaws VERY cheap and it is amazing for cooking to have the fresh herbs and this is so yummy
The hedgerows are are absolutely covered in this wonderful plant just now … it seems to grow thickest beside roads where traffic is going past – maybe it thrives on noise! The individual flowers are like stars shining in a dark green sky!
