Stormy weather and sunlight over the Twelve Apostles, Great Ocean Road
Early morning by the beach. My profile / / /
Taken while driving over Sea Cliff Bridge between Stanwell Park and Wollongong, about an hour and a half south of Sydney. Definitely worth a look – an architect’s dream!
Came across this at the near deserted beach along a stretch of the Oregon Dunes National Park. Perfect position for my polarizer to take full advantage of the perpendicular sun.
I stumbled upon this scene earlier today while photographing The General Hospital. A portion of the parking lot has broken off into the ocean. / / I wouldn’t want to be a customer in this establishment… it seems they really know how to treat thier guests. / / In The Moment Competition Finalist / / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / / VIEW MY GALLERIES HERE / / WILDLIFE / / / SHIPS BOATS & DORYS / / / SCENES OF NEWFOUNDLAND / / / BLACK WHITE & SEPIA / / / ARCHITECTURE / / / STILL LIFE / / / MY FAVORITES / / / MOST POPULAR / / / PEOPLE / / / ALL THINGS SINISTER / / / CHURCHES OF OLD / / / WINTER SCENES / / / TRAINS & TRACTORS / / / SELECTIVE COLORING SERIES / / /
Sunset at number two rocks, Canunda National Park, Millicent, South Australia. The most amazing sky that just swirled and twirled!
Southern Ocean Storm © Vicki Ferrari Looking east from Emu Park, Queensland, Australia. The Southern Cross, and the two pointers, are visible on the right hand side. The two bright lights on the ocean are ship lights. And there is lightning (bonus!) breaking through the storm clouds on the left Technical Data / Nikon D70 / 18mm focal / f3.5 / manual exposure (30 secs) / 25/3/05
Seaworld, QLD Australia / ....I also took some shots of some jumping dolphins, however, the view from the car park really caught my visual attention…

Got up for dawn at Port Campbell only for it to be drizzly and overcast, but by the time I got down to the beach and the sun started to rise some awesome colour came through and it made the early start well and truly worth it! / Settings Canon 40D, 10-22mm EF-S. This little gem can be found just around the corner from Loch Ard Gorge near Port Campbell off Victoria’s Great Ocean Road, Australia. I came here the afternoon before and there were snap happy tourists everywhere but decided to come back the next morning and there wasn’t a soul in sight, just the crashing ocean to keep me company… Unfortunately as of early June 2009 this archway has collapsed leaving two apostles next to eachother. For information read this story on the collapse / Settings Canon 40D, 10-22mm EF-S. Elephants Rocks, Denmark, Western Australia. For Beth, my twin-sis. Another image from one of my favourite places. The day of our visit, it amazed me how many people stood on the top of these rocks and then turned back to the carpark, missing the view of the rocks from this point and all the wonderful coastline around the corner. Still, that means we had it to ourselves!! For enquires about canvas prints, or photographic prints larger than Redbubble options, please contact me via bubblemail
This view is featured in the last scene of the movie “Attonement” A 3 Shot HDR Processed in Photomatix Pro / / Seven Sisters Country Park / Found at the point where the South Downs meets the sea, the Sisters were created when ancient rivers cut valleys into the chalk, creating seven peaks. Haven Brow, the highest of them at 253 feet (77 metres), stands majestically to the west of her other sisters who in order are called Short Brow, Rough Brow, Brass Point, Flagstaff Point, Baily’s Brow and Went Hill Brow. Under the sea at the foot of the cliffs are a number of gullies and ridges – varied marine life such as sea anemones, snails, and sponges can be found there. Now part of the Heritage Coast, an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ and also a ‘Site of Special Scientific Interest’, the beauty of the area will be protected for generations to come The area has a long and interesting history, including some fascinating shipwrecks, which you can discover on a series of shorewalks. SSCP is a great place to explore on foot, by bicycle or by canoe, particularly along the spectacular meanders of the Cuckmere River.
The glory of the sunrise is reflected in one of the many rock pools located on the coastline, along The Great Ocean Road. Pentax K20D Camera – S.speed 6 Sec – f27 – ISO 100 / Sigma 18 -125 mm lens – 21mm / Edited in ACDSee Pro3. My Bubblesite showcases images in their categories.

Going to do a series of the Noosa National Park in Queensland. This place is totally beautiful, and so natural! The park is loaded with hiking tracks, with some unmarked and quite rugged. I can’t think of anything better than being alone and at one with nature in it’s purest form. This rock pool, not easily accessable as it took about 20 minutes of rock jumping and some climbing. I find the best places are where no one can easily access :) Noosa National Park, Noosa Heads, Queensland, Australia. Canon 50D, 10mm. Available Large and best viewed Large!
