  • Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Tree Abstract Just one of the many Tree Abstracts I captured during a 4WD trip in the Abercrombie River National Park, New South Wales. Snow Gum (Eucalyptus pauciflora) Their bark is shed in irregular patches in Autumn, leaving a smooth white to yellow, olive-green or brown surface, occasionally with scribbly markings from insect lavae.

  • A stunningly calm morning on Llyn Dinas in North Wales with a light mist covering the flat calm surface of the lake, and the warm dawn light illuminating the small boathouse on the bank. View the rest of our portfolio here Or visit our own website here

  • Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Misty The stillness of the rainfoirest enveloped in mist. World Heritage, Dorrigo National Park, New South Wales.

  • Every Easter holidays my family go camping at the BIG4 caravan park in Pambula. This is handy as I’ve found it’s quite a photogenic location. I took this shot when it was overcast and a rather boring scene but, I wanted to see what I could do with it. Shot: Canon 400D + Canon 10-22 f/3.5 – f/4.5 @ 1/2, 1/8 (-2), 2 (+2), f/8, ISO100. Post-Processing: I blended and tonemapped the image in Photomatix and then took it into Adobe Photoshop CS3 and did quite a lot of dodging and burning and curves and levels layer masks.

  • Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Sawn Rocks Reflections As I stood looking up at these amazing rock patterns, I noticed that a small pool of water was reflecting the image above! Sawn Rocks, Mount Kaputar National Park is about 30 kms north-east of Narrabri on the Newell Highway, New South Wales. The mountains in Mount Kaputar National Park are the remains of active volcanoes in the area from 17-20 million years ago. These remarkable rock patterns are created when molten lava cools slowly enabling individual crystals to form and take shape as the lava shrinks as it cools.

  • Looking towards Snowdon, North Wales, UK

  • Taken in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales UK. The wind was howling and the clouds screaming by … whilst this lone sheep stood defiant.

  • On our way to the Blue Mts (west of Sydney NSW) over Christmas, we stayed in a Muswellbrook caravan park with horses up the back. Couldn’t resist getting out and about with camera in hand. I used the Smudge tool on the background a bit plus a soft diffuse glow. As you can see, he was in a paddock with junk lying everywhere – tin, tyres, bricks, pipes. Hence the background smudge here and there.

  • Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery View from Mt Kaputar Stopped to take in this spectacular view on my way up to the Summit of Mt Kaputar, New South Wales, Australia. Mount Kaputar National Park is located on 36,817 hectares and is 50 kilometres east of Narrabri and 570 kilometres north west of Sydney. Mount Kaputar National Park consists of a gathering of sharp peaks and rocky ranges, the remnants of a 17 million year old volcano. Millions of years of erosion have carved this volcanic pile into the Nandewar Range, with its dramatic landscape of lava terraces, volcanic plugs and ring dykes. At the peak of the range is Mt Kaputar, which reaches an altitude of 1510m. From the summit it is possible to take in 360 degree views encompassing one tenth of NSW. The National Park is popular with rockclimbers. There are 11 walks in the national park, most offering spectacular views of the area. The park protects a wide variety of plant communities, including semi-arid woodlands, wet eucalypt forests and subalpine heaths. Wildflowers in spring provide a magnificent display. It’s home to a host of animal species, and provides a haven for many threatened species – including bats, birds, wallabies, quolls and a unique large pink slug, which often appears after rain.
