Taken on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park, and a shot which is a personal favorite of mine, thoughts welcomed!
We were hiking along a snow covered trail in Jasper National Park (Alberta Canada) and came across this outpost. Just had to shoot it. Featured on the RedBubble homepage on Dec 24, 2008 Taken with Canon Rebel and Sigma 75-300mm lens

Garden Of the Gods Park, outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado, is without a doubt one of my all time favorite places to shoot at….the light there just dances, especially during the golden hours just after sunrise…..Pike’s Peak is in the background, with the wind blowing the snow into the sky. / Thoughts welcomed! Model – Millie Claire / MUA – Cloe Bunter of Makeup by Cloe Pentacon Six TL + Kodak Portra 160VC / I won’t show the digital versions, seems to have caused a little friction on dA ;) Needless to say if you’re familiar with the original Snow White text, you might just know what this is about :D Melbourne’s Parklands have very photogenic footpaths. I believe this was shot in the Queen Vic Park… I dunno, it was hot and there were a LOT of parks. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas
/ I just got back from spending the last 3 days on Mt. Rainier and had to process one image before I go to bed. Every visitor to the park has an image of Mt. Rainier from this view point at Reflection Lake but not too many are willing to be on the mountain before sunrise to catch the first rays of the sun. This is my verson of everyone’s photograph of Mount Rainier at Reflection Lake. This image was processed as a HDR image.

First snow this year Photo made in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands – Crown Domain Het Loo Where I live, the snow didn’t stay longer than a few minutes, so I had to travel a few hours to make these pics… The public transport was all messed up because of the first winter-weather, but brought me finally into winter-wonderland… I think this journey was well worth the effort :) ... Captured 12/13/2008 on a very frigid morning at Cherry Creek State Park, here in Colorado, I froze my damn keester off because I was dense and forgot to bring along my damn jacket! It was an incredible sunrise folks, one which I won’t forget, the colors changed and developed by the minute, going from the cool blues to the warm pinks, reds, and oranges…and I was able to get something in the shots which I had never had been able to before, the lake actually shimmering! In some of the other shots in days to come, you can really see this, and you kind of can here in the bottom left side a tad, an odd occurrence, and one I finally managed to snag! Long exposure, using my Singh-Ray CPL and Marumi ND4, on my Minolta 18-70 DT Lens, I hope ya all like it, let me know what ya think! / —-John !
This is Delaney’s Hut in Kosciuszko National Park. This one sits just off the Snowy Mountains Highway so an easy one to access. Unfortunately the original hut was lost in the 2003 bushfires, but has since been rebuilt. This is my 5th attempt to shoot this hut, every other time I’ve come past it I’ve had bright blue skies and it’s been lunchtime, so the light was just too harsh to get a decent photo. This time though, it was lunchtime again, but we had snow and some very menacing black clouds with the sun just breaking behind me, so the perfect light…. well in my eyes! Photo was taken 27th April 2009

The Fenland Trail in the morning affords a good opportunity to see wildlife moving around the marsh and river areas. This trail connects to the Bow River Trail which actually goes all the way into Banff townsite proper. If you have time, this is a nice easy walk to get to this area without actually having to drive to get to it. The Vermillion Lakes are slightly to the west of the Fenland Trail and you can either walk to them or drive your car and use the pulloffs available. It’s a bit noisy being so close to the Trans Canada Hwy, but the scenery more than makes up for it. Throughout the day you’ll see numerous waterfowl frequenting the area. The real draw, however, is in the evening when the winds are low and the water is still, making the lake surface a mirror reflection of the now beautifully lit Mt Rundle in the background. Cradle Snow VI stems from one glorius day here at Cradle Mountain. As with previous images presented here on RB, this stems from a series of images taken on the morning of July 7 2009. I wasn’t going to present anymore of these images, but others have convinced me not to be selfish.I just thought it would bore people to see similar images of the same thing. / Cradle Mountain/Lake St Claire National Park Tasmania. / Canon 50d / Canon 18-55 lens / / /
I always wanted a “classic” kind of Elk shot, where one can see the steam coming out of their nose and mouth after the Bugle, with snow falling and such, and I think I finally was able to get it ! He gave us a lot of good shots, I will say that! Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado Minolta 5D & Tamron 200-400mm lens

Originally called Castle mountain, it was hence renamed to Mt Eiesenhower to honor the great american General. 30 years later it was returned the name of Castle Mountain, by Primemister Mackenzie-King, and the most prominent peak was named Eisenhower Peak. Consider one of Banff most notorious mountains. Located in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada / Inspired by the song Mountain Music / / /
