Well I figured I’d bring another shot of the Grand Canyon out from my spring trip, this area was so amazing that I can’t wait to go again, it truly grounds you that’s for sure.

Fitzgerald River National Park and biosphere is world renowned for it’s wildflowers, it’s walks and it’s whales. We sampled all three on our visit last spring.To get to this spot we had driven some 90kms from our B&B, of which about 60 were on gravel roads. We are standing on West Beach Point looking down on the beach itself whilst also admiring the vivid pink of all the wild pimellias. At this point we would have been something like 600+kms south of Perth, Western Australia. The previous day there had been over 100mm of rain and the road was impassable – in fact it was closed. It certainly drains away quickly

Everyone says, you can go through the tunnels. Well we got our nice boat stuck in the series of two tunnels trying to get through in high waters to other lakes. Dumb thing to do.
