This is a nice little waterfall and a great swimming hole located deep in the Blue Mountains National Park.

Taken at Hancock Gorge in Karijini National Park/Western Australia. The spider walk leads to Kermits Pool. Natural Arch in Springbrook National Park, Queensland is a most unusual geological feature created over millions of years by water tumbling through the roof of a basalt cave. Natural Bridge is home to an amazing colony of glow-worms, whose lights can be seen only after sunset. Lookouts and lush rainforest also grace this World Heritage-listed haven, making it one of the most popular parks in Australia. Take the short circuit walk to the natural arch over Cave Creek, and view the unique waterfall and cave. Enjoy a picnic and relax in cool rainforest. Join a nocturnal tour to see delicate glow-worms. / On summer nights, see luminous fungi and fireflies. During the day, hear the calls of paradise riflebirds, green catbirds and wompoo fruit-doves.
Bryce Canyon is a small national park in southwestern Utah. Named after the Mormon Pioneer Ebenezer Bryce, Bryce Canyon became a national park in 1924. Bryce is famous for its worldly unique geology, consisting of a series of horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters carved from the eastern edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau in southern Utah. The erosional force of frost-wedging and the dissolving power of rainwater have shaped the colorful limestone rock of the Claron Formation into bizarre shapes including slot canyons, windows, fins, and spires called “hoodoos.” Tinted with colors too numerous and subtle to name, these whimsically arranged rocks create a wondrous landscape of mazes, offering some of the most exciting and memorable walks and hikes imaginable. /

BETTER VIEWED LARGER The Grampians National Park is one of Victoria’s most popular holiday destinations. Renowned for its breathtaking rocky views, rich Aboriginal culture, European heritage and stunning spring wildflower displays, there is plenty to see and do in this rugged ancient landscape. Declared in 1984, the 168,000 hectare National park is home to a rich diversity of plants and animals, many of which are endemic to the park. Hosting over 1 million visitors each year, popular activities include bushwalking, camping, picnicking, nature study, rock-climbing, bike riding and fishing. The extensive network of roads makes car touring to surrounding villages another great way to explore. The Grampians National Park is a national park in Victoria, Australia, 235 kilometres west of Melbourne. The Park was listed on the National Heritage List on 15 December 2006 for its outstanding natural beauty and being one of the richest Indigenous rock art sites in south-eastern Australia.[1] The Grampians feature a striking series of sandstone mountain ranges. Another much brighter day, same holiday, but this time a rocky place around Hat Head National Park, NSW. Low tide bared bottom part of this rocky island, the waves going through the channel were absolutely huge. Unfortunately even at low tide it was still too deep and dangerous to cross and to get to the little paradise on the other side of this tiny rocky island. Didn’t get there! After 20 minutes of stalking up to this Australian Pied Cormorant (also known as Pied Shag), I finally got close enough to get this shot at 22mm. Shot taken at 3:00pm, and I’m guessing he is taking a rest after lunch. Shot in Noosa National Park, Noosa Heads, Queensland, Australia. Canon 50D, 22mm, 16:9 crop. Taken on a recent holiday to Binna Burra (Lamington National Park) Burrajum Falls along the Coomera Circuit, definitely one of the most stunning walks I’ve ever done. To get the best light for shots, we started walking at about 4:45am, was definitely worth the early rise! We definitely felt accomplished after walking 43km in three days too!
