Couldn’t decide between b/w and sepia, so opted to merge them. Much more time-consuming than I’d anticipated, but I like the effect. :)
This is the 10th in a New Series called Harmony Park. / . / Harmony Park is a Public Park in the City of Moreland where I work. / Located in Gaffney Street, just east of Sussex Street in Coburg, it was originally my old school, Coburg Technical College. / But it was closed down by Jeff Kennet, the Victorian Premier at the time, and is now a beautifully developed Public Arena. / It was developed and is maintained by the Council, and has some of the best things to photograph in the area that I have seen for quite a while, including architecture, design, landscaping, as well as having one of the best Skateboard Parks in the Northern Suburbs. / I hope you enjoy my images in this series. / . / This image is of the finished work of / ” Harmony Park (8) Works in Progress ” and is located on the opposite side of the shed to No.1. & 11….. ===================== /
Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery The Guitar Plant Lomatia Tinctoria – The Guitar Plant This shrub is usually seen in extensive colonies as it spreads by underground rhizomes. Above ground it appears as a plant with few stems and is rarely more than 1m tall. The white or cream flowers are in loose spikes, and the buds, like the ensuing woody fruits, are guitar-shaped. The leaves appear fernlike, but are leathery to the touch, and are pinnately divided once or twice into long slender feathery lobes. Flowering in summer. / Three species of Lomatia are endemic to Tasmania, the other two being / L. polymorpha (montane areas) and the rare L. tasmanica from the rainforests of the south west. Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Dolerite Cliffs at Carr Villa Ben Lomond National Park, Tasmania, Australia. Ben Lomond National Park is dominated by an alpine plateau over 1500 metres high and surrounded on all sides by precipitous escarpments. The basement rocks comprise slates, siltstones, greywackes and quartzite. These were intruded by granite and, later, by dolerite during the Jurassic Period. Dolerite predominates on the plateau. During the Pleistocene Ice Age, a small ice-cap existed on Ben Lomond, which was the only plateau in the north-east to be glaciated. The effects of these glaciers account for much of the contrast between the alpine scenery of Ben Lomond and that of the other mountains in the north-east. The most notable relict periglacial depositional features are the blockfields, which cover over a quarter of the Ben Lomond plateau.
